Finally cooking something for myself, rather than being in the kitchen for work. :) Making two different pies - one with beets and one with onions - three differently coloured hummus (one with carrots, one with beets and one with garden peas) and home made pitta to go with it.

My 4-year anniversary with my boyfriend is today. We first started talking on the PPK over 5 years ago living on opposite ends of the country, but met in person for the first time in NYC on New Year's Eve after over a year of letter-writing, package-giving, and drunk-webcamming. We started our relationship that same day, and he is the love of my life.

This hasn't happened yet, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be the best thing: my sister is coming round and together with my flatmate we are going to order Chinese takeout, start watching Spooks from episode one, and see how many episodes we can get through. There may also be wine involved.

We've been away over Christmas and only got home yesterday, so the best thing about today is not going to a New Year's Eve party. Cooking my own food in my own kitchen and taking a bath in my own tub, assisted by a little snot monster - bliss!

My last grade was posted today, and I am in such a state of relief. My grades were two As and a B for a GPA of 3.66. Not perfect but man I will take it.

I have an awesome Dark Mark henna tattoo on my ankle. I wanted it on my arm but there wasn't room, and I can just do it there when the rest fades anyway. Best of all though is that I've ordered more henna!

My electricity and gas monthly payments have been reduced, even though I've succumbed to having the heating on more often than I felt I should have in the past few months. Hooray, I can have the house warm enough to feel my hands!
