Yogi puppy is totally adorable Size your avatar here! http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/ I couldn't get my software to do it so I went there, entered my pic, plugged in 100x140 and tada! Perfect. Everyone needs an avatar or you all look the same. If you changed your nick substantially, I need a similar avatar for awhile.

I'm so glad this thread exists. I can't decide if I should change to this or keep my old avatar (Bjork holding a giant VCON).

OK, everyone. I've changed my avatar from Howard Moon (of The Mighty Boosh) to a rather awesome tweedy Irish dude. But I had been considering using this quite spectacular panel from the classic comic strip Mark Trail (I'm sure there are many fans here). I happen to subscribe to the amazing blog The Comics Curmudgeon ( http://joshreads.com/), which basically just rags on all sorts of daily comics (I found it circuitously through a recommendation of a blog by a disembodied voice who goes by the name of FootFace). Anyhoo, here's the setup. Mark Trail (virtuous backwoods ranger humanitarian dude with a square jaw) has discovered that one of his woodsy neighbors, an ambitious jerk named Frank, is planning to launch his political career by purchasing "semi-tame" animals from a game park, erecting a huge chain-link fence out in his backwoods property, and inviting movers and shakers from the political establishment (including several senators!) to just blast away at the poor things. Well, it turns out that Frank's stepdaughter is a nice little girl whose name I forget, and she happens to have a pet deer, and also thought it was kind of awesome when her evil stepfather (she doesn't know he's evil, but he is) brought all these semi-pettable animals into this nice big cage enclosure in the woods. Well, one thing leads to another, the pet deer makes his/her way onto the range, firearms are drawn, the senator takes a bead, and guess what? You'll never guess. OK, you guessed it. The little girl runs out into the hunting arena and says (wait for it.....) How awesome is it? I'm hoping for a vegan feeding frenzy here. Who wants it? PS That's not even to mention Mary Worth upping her meddling quotient when she's helping Adrian buy a wedding dress, not to speak of the mayor's prostate cancer on Rex Morgan, MD. Who's with me? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

i have an avatar for the first time! its from when my son was about 6 months old, he's much older now, should i go for a pic of myself instead? i have one of me looking sooty and drinking turkish tea or one of me getting kisses from stuffed animal camels. Do either of them sound more ppk worthy?
eta; and while i was posting it, my husband made me one in paint- all this after two years without an avatar.

I changed mine, because I like when people have pictures of themselves, but I don't know how I feel about it. I might change it back to something more anonymous.

Desdemona, I love the witch from Snow White! (Incidentally, that was the first movie I ever saw at a cinema!) Should I keep the Vegan Cookie Joker, or should I change to this (as suggested in the British English thread)?

I'm going on a roadtrip next year so we are trying to organise things. Anyway, my friend typed 'road trip' into google and this is what came up. This is exactly what we will look like. I have this Food Fight! badge as mine for now, because that is what vegan means.

Do we like mine? No one's said anything! It doesn't have a dramatic animal this time. Or I could do this: I like her ballerina ones, but they're longer so less detail ❀madam dahlia❀ wrote: why can't i do it!!!! i have no idea how to make an avatar :/ on the other forum i'm on, i can just stick an location link in and it works. this resizing and stuff just curdles my poor forest hippy brain. Size your avatar here! http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/ I couldn't get my software to do it so I went there, entered my pic, plugged in 100x140 and tada! Perfect.

The Evil One: I love desdemona's idea of using a different witch for your avatar! jildez: What could be more appropriate than a baby eating a the ultimate vegan cook book? So cute! Keeeeeep iiiiiiiiiit!! appifanie: Adorable! Although it's getting cold and the popsicle seems summery. If you have an autumny or wintery picture you could use that for a while and then switch to this one as summer approaches. But this one is cute and great for year round too! dane: I love the new avatar. It's still recognizable as you. Similar enough to the old one, but a nice change. Keep it for sure! MeShell: the carrot kid scares me! Go for something different.

I'm not very creative when it comes to avatars, so I'm not any help. I chose Mama from Mama's Family cause when I had red hair people told me I looked like Vicki Lawrence. Hopefully, I don't look like mama too!
