Working on finding a way to redefine a relationship with a friend. Trying to be what she needs wont' work. I can't be all that she needs and still be true to me. But I don't know how to express that.
It is really frustrating and I just am feeling a little lost by it all.

I think I might be the Scrooge of Thanksgiving. Nuts to Thanksgiving it is the worst holiday.
Nah, I'm over it. Every year I end up pissed off and in tears. Well, this year I'm spending it with my partner's family, so I think it could be either way better or way worse.

I know. My favorite porridge is one from Bryant Terry's Vegan Soul Kitchen with pecans and currants where you have to soak the steel cut oats the night before. I told my sister it's the porridge of kings, like, it's THAT good.

Me neither. I find kale very "meh". I also prefer spinach or bok choy or napa cabbage.

look, i love greens of all types, but nothing makes a crunchy baked chip quite like kale. I didn't have any kale for about 2 years (til just now, when i got the seeds to sprout) and i have it again, and i notice that what i really missed is the chips. For pretty much any other application, another green fits the bill.
The entire 1st floor smells like Zwan sausages. Barf.

I love most greens but kale is my special love interest. In second place would probably be swiss chard and broccoli rabe.

I have yet to meet a leafy green vegetable that I did not love. I will sing their praises from the rooftops. They are just about my favorite thing on the planet. :D

Having thought about it for a bit, it may be a good idea for me to check that what we call kale isn't called something else in America and vice versa. I'd hate to find out that I've been buying what I call kale and you all call it poopweed or something.
How have you been cooking it? And which type of kale are you buying?

Poopweed is my favorite green!

I really want to ban the word "healthy" from blogs and "bombshell" from news stations.

I agree that in most applications (other than chips) you could put another green in kale's place. But typically prefer kale (or collards) for the sturdier texture and extra flavorfulness.
