I slept really badly. My parents' cat is an annoying shiitake and kept waking me up (I slept on the couch) by jumping on me and putting his paws (claws out) in my face. This is why I booked a hotel for most of the nights I'll be here. Also, I just saw three dogs running around, standing in the street, no leashes, and the owner nowhere in sight. They looked well cared-for (and also like some kind of special breed), so I'm assuming they weren't strays. I don't understand why people would be so careless with their pets.

My grandfather has prostate cancer. I guess they caught it early and the doctors say he has a really good chance, but I'm still worried for him. He's my last remaining grandparent.

My stepfather had prostate cancer but had surgery is now cancer free.

My dad was the same.

Thanks, everyone. The doctors were very encouraging too. It's just always scary when an elderly relative has a health scare. My grandfather is in good health for his age, though, and has taken steps in the last several years to stay healthy (quitting smoking, taking up walking). I hope he will stick around or many more years!

Just woke up. MRI went ok, I guess, until it was over and they told me there is an insurance issue, so now I'm really worried.

I took a muscle relaxer since I started to get really stressed, but that was mostly because even when I was in the machine, I kept feeling like I was in the old machine. Kind of weird.

You can see some of the room when you turn your head, so it makes a big difference. I need to remember that most people don't know what opera is--they played show tunes, which do not relax me or make me feel good at all, but I didn't want to be a bisque and press the call button. I blame this on Phantom of the Opera--everyone k ows this, so they think it's opera.

Thanks for all the good wishes! Those helped too. Now I jut have to hope for good or useful results.

Oh Zwingtip your grandmother sounds awesome. I get the vapors thinking of DC, but I love that a grandmother is all "dude you USED to be hot.". My vapors are based on CR, so maybe I should just never watch another movie with him?

He is hot in all of his movies, at least when he is supposed to be. It's just that CR approaches perfection. The Tom & Lorenzo blog occasionally has "man on the street" shots of him, and he always looks yummy.
