I guess it's a good thing that my local supermarket doesn't carry Amy's vegan margherita pizzas, because if they did I would probably be eating pizza for every meal. So good.

Mr8 goes back to work tomorrow. I'm going to miss having him around all the time.
My sewing machine has started making loops of thread on the underside of the fabric. I've tried troubleshooting but can't figure out the problem. I guess I'll try again tomorrow with a torch, pair of tweezers, screwdriver and hairdryer.

My understanding is that it's a tension problem and that it may require being taken in to be serviced.

I found spekulaas cookies (spekulatius) at the dollar store this evening while looking for science project supplies. They are in the shape of not only windmills but elephants and Santa. The last ones I found here I did not like and I have not been able to find the Voortmans ones for a long time, so I enjoyed them though they were not as spicy as I would prefer.

Please tell this to my grandmother, who freaks out whenever I tell her that the doctors are trying me on a new med and thinks that I've been given tramadol or oxys. I've never been given anything stronger than tylenol with codeine and that has only ever been for things like getting my wisdom teeth out, not for my chronic pain. She really peas me off because I'm pretty sick of never having ANYTHING to take the edge off a really bad day.

Yeah, it is frustrating. I'm not at all belittling that narcotic drugs can be a nasty issue for some people to deal with, but it seems more a knee jerk reaction than common sense. Doctors are monitored so heavily for over prescription too that some end up so overly cautious that their patients end up in pain all the time. That said, some doctors waaaay the hell over prescribe. When I had my wisdom teeth (top) out, the dentist gave me the hugest bottle of hydrocodone liquid I've ever seen and I actually only needed regular old Tylenol because it was no big deal. That was a little scary actually because he didn't know my medical history and I wasn't going to see him again, so no monitoring. I'm hoping he just miscalculated since I needed liquid instead of pills.
I need to see a pain management dr; not really looking forward to trying new things because I always have side effect issues.

not being able to get codeine over the counter is frustrating :( and Canada adds caffeine to their codeine/Tylenol range. frustratingggg!

I realized I'm a bit embarrassed by my bedding/blankets situation (doesn't look like a grown-up's bed); so I'm currently trying to re-do my room without actually having to purchase anything new. I decided I will be goodwill-ing the blanket my grandmother knit for me even though she's dead. Her being dead and me feeling guilty about wanting rid of it is really the only reason I've been using it and haven't sent it to the goodwill already. Thinking now that that's not how I care to live my life.

Today, I graded 36 freaking essays. I feel like a champion.
Then, when I got home, I put up my Christmas decor in my apartment so it is cheerful and fun in here. I'm going to do some more work for about half an hour, then I get to relax with nog and working on my NaNoWriMo. I am exhausted, but I am starting to think that I MIGHT actually make it out the other end of this week alive. (Last week of the marking period is always a nightmare of overwork, but I have a bunch of extra stuff piled on, PLUS being way behind in NaNoWriMo, so this week is just... holy hell.)
Mars, I'm on the same page with wanting to make my place a bit nicer... I think I might need to hit the thrift store. I think giving up the blanket is a good idea. I totally understand wanting to hang onto it out of guilt/sentiment, but that's how hoarders happen. If you don't actively WANT it, then don't have it! Nothing wrong with that. Someone else will love it.

I think I'm having a lot of pain in my ovary which is really making it hard to continue my denial about how I might totally have endometriosis.

My understanding is that it's a tension problem and that it may require being taken in to be serviced. It does sound like a tension issue. Before taking it to the shop, try cleaning both the top and bottom part (canned air, the kind you use for electronics, works much better than those little brushes), oil the mechanical parts and re-thread your top thread. (Sorry if that was common sense! It took me a while to figure out that problems that appear under the fabric are usually caused by problems in the upper part of the machine, not by what it going on around the bobbin.)

I only ever hear music at circuit training and I never know what it is. Is it at all possible that there could be a song called Mama Loves Chagall? It seems unlikely.
