Also, CQ try everything on at thrift stores. If you go with someone womanish, you can browse the women's section with her and strangers would just assume you're helping her look for clothes (we can do this on our trip). I've found some stuff from those large women stores in there and it rocks. Jeans at Lane Bryant are so expensive, but I managed to get some for $10 and they fit me awesomely.

It sounds like the same thing that was going around here on the east coast in nov/dec. We both had it and it sucked a lot, but only lasted for two days. Saltines and applesauce to the rescue. I hope you don't get it, vijita! Get your self some hand sanitizer.

Hand sanitizer doesn't work against norovirus. It is very tenacious, and you basically need to do the old 'at least 15 seconds with soap and hot water' handwashing thing before you touch anything you're going to put in your mouth.

I researched it a lot after I got it because I felt so guilty for having gone into work and possibly infected a bunch of people because I thought it was a delayed hangover.

Vomiting sucks. (I'm so happy I haven't had that virus. It's really making the rounds.)

Yeah my mum disinfected everything all the time and wiped all the door handles when she had it and it did squat. We still all got it and it's pretty horrific.

The most annoying thing about it, was that I had tickets to see the Foo Fighters and I had to give them to a friend because I was too ill too go. Also, I missed the scene in Casino Royale where DC walks out the sea in his trunks, because I was throwing up orange lucozade. Ice cold, orangey, fizzy puke is super weird.

Good times.

Oh no, you can't miss the Casino Royale scene. That's practically the best part of an already amazing movie. I also love the gender bend of the classic Dr. No scene.

I know right! And I was too ill to realise until it was way too late in the film to make my dad rewind it! haha

This just reminds me of when I had gastritis. Doritos and root beer are not fun things to throw up, especially in the bathroom at college (but at least I made it to the bathroom and didn't puke in class).

My class was canceled! I didn't even know. I was just not going anyway. I still have a history class and I am counting on a friend to bring me for one... and I haven't heard anything.

I love my job but Mondays and Wednesdays are boring in Mesa.

I'm trying to find the energy to make king cake. I really want to. I know it'll be amazing (because it's a Kittee Kake). But there are so many steps, and I'd have to clean so much stuff, and I'm already tired and just can't fathom kneading dough. I don't even want to make dinner at this point. I should've made it over the weekend. And I should've gone to bed at a reasonable hour last night.

Melatonin forks my shiitake up, crazy nightmares and lots of waking up.

My husband works half days. I've always wondered what he does in the morning while I'm at work...apparently, he watches 2+ hours of MSNBC & then cleans the house. I'm cool with that.

Your husband sounds like me, except switch MSNBC for Masterpiece Mystery.

Ugh, there was an attempted kidpnapping in my neighborhood last night (at like 8pm!) This was... nine blocks away from me, at the closest major intersection. He pulled her into a van, but she was able to fight him off before he could drive away with her. The, this morning, there was an attack on a jogger at a lake/park a mile or so from me where normally I feel very safe running because there are always lots of people there. He jogged up behind her and pulled her into some brush, but she fought back and then a cyclist scared him off. The police don't think they were the same guy. I'm really glad both women were OK, but fork. This is just going to lead to a lot of tsk-tsking about women needing to be "smart" and safe, especially when it's dark out. And why shouldn't we just have the freedom to feel safe without it being our forking burden? We're not the ones attacking people!

Oh no mtoes, that's terrible. I'm glad both women escaped. And as a lady who runs alone in a fairly rural neighborhood, I'm also pretty sick of feeling like getting a damn workout isn't safe.

How terrifying! It is so terrible that things like that happen and the blame is on the victim not the perpetrator.

After basically two months of an anything goes schedule, I am back on track.
Which is amazing! I love working for myself.

That's horrible monkeytoes. It really does suck when women are blamed for the things other people do. People just suck.

UGH! I just got really weird about something. I found a new Amy's Light and Lean (Quinoa and Black Bean with Butternut Squash and Chard) that's really good. Someone I work with was interested in it, and she told me she'd bought it and brought it for lunch. Then as she was leaving today she stopped by to tell me it was good, but it has a little dairy in it (she didn't know if I cared about stuff like that)!!! Yes! I care about stuff like that, but I know I saw that it was vegan because Amy's put's the first on the ingredients list. Anyway, I get fired up pretty easily, so I just went to look in the recycling for the box, and she totally had the Roasted Polenta with Swiss Chard. It just irritates me on so many levels.

Thanks! And h*ck naw. A huge reason we're moving is so we don't have to have a roommate, but we have the opportunity to buy something more permanent, so that's a plus. I don't see us having much contact with him after we leave, and we were really good friends before.
