Heehee yeah I won't go into details but it was super accidental and could have happened to anyone (ish)! But yeah I'm doing a-okay and thanks Josh for the offer, no I don't need anything!
I didn't post it in worst things thread because I'm feeling super positive about it all. Crush has been forking amazing through it all... And I feel like this has seriously changed me as a person. I have been so afraid for so long about health/death/hospitals/being put under... It actually felt oppressing at times. I feel so free of that now! Like... I feel so confident my body will make it through shiitake now. I feel like I know my body more now... And also the people at this hospital have been amazing!

Holy shiitake, Mars! So glad you're OK!
My bff is coming up tomorrow - yay! Her train gets in at 8.15am - booo! And instead of going to bed, I'm drinking a cup of tea and contemplating biscuits. Also, I'm glad she knows how I live because I ran out of energy and didn't hoover.

I'm being super lazy, watching netflix and eating girl scout cookies and it's so nice! I got up this morning, cleared the front steps and helped shovel out my mom's car. We got a call from the volunteer who does the cat care on Friday mornings at the animal shelter, saying the road to the shelter hadn't been plowed and she couldn't get up. We were able to get there in my mom's car, but when we went to leave a few hours later, it was a no go. My mom and I were stuck there for hours. So boring. We had to split this disgusting shelf-stable microwavable pasta that had been sitting there all winter "in case of emergency". We decided we were hungry enough that it was an emergency! I guess it was better that we got stuck at the shelter as opposed to not being able to get there and take care of the animals, though.

My university cut it really close cancelling classes today (Originally it was a delayed opening at 11:00, then at like 10:30 they cancelled everything) and up until then I was worried I'd get stuck out there.

On tuesday I took a questionnaire and did about 3 hours of tests for a job. Yesterday afternoon they called me to let me know I'm through to the second round on monday! More questionnaires, and an interview. When they called me, I was shaking. I was super happy, but now I'm forking terrified of forking things up on monday. Because that first questionnaire didn't go well at all. And I don't have much time to prepare because I have a million other things I need to do this weekend.

How terrifying! My ankle broke because of rough-housing with my ex, and while that is NOT AT ALL THE SAME, it kind of is because I spent my entire life being terrified of breaking a bone, and really...it wasn't that big of a deal. I mean, it sucked and I don't, like, want to do it again, but now that I know what it's like, I'm a lot less afraid of a lot of things.

You guys, I just remembered this thing that happened that I totally meant to tell you! Backstory: I have this messenger bag that I got about 5ish years ago from neighborhoodies (where you can customize shirts/bags/whatever with text and images) and it just has, like, 4 gooses in flight on it. I was using it when Older Man and I went to Whole Foods. I was wandering around in the deli/bakery area and this adorable girl with short blonde hair and a beanie walked by and said, 'I really like your bag!' I said thanks and smiled, but ALL I could think about what that Portlandia sketch - put a bird on it! Just hangin' out with the hipsters at Whole Foods with my bird bag, NBD.
