I have just somehow made hemp and almond milk that formed a cream in the top of the bottle I stored it in. It's so flipping delicious.

I put in a little linseed oil and some xylitol, but I also used scalding water instead of cold and it's so much richer!

I felt like I won the lottery yesterday. I found unsweetened almond milk. Looking forward to trying it out because I didn't like the sweetened stuff all that much.

this 2 months job has made me realize I never want to work in an office again. 600 euros for officially 200 hours ( plus all unpaid ones) is ridiculous. so it cant even compensate for how much i hate the atmosphere and the whole "uh uh, the boss is coming, he is talking nonsense but I cant tell him either because he'salways right".

How is that legal?!

because officially it's an internship. but almost everyone there does an "internship" for 6 months.
Oh well, at least now I know seo/internet marketing is an interesting field for me and I can consider it. but not in an office-like environment from monday to friday, where i get home still thinking about work and how i wont be able to finish all tasks because they intentionally give you more than you can handle.

Unsweetened almond milk in my cup of tea was perfect. Definitely a fan.

I don't know why but I feel like I have a little personal win every time someone discovers they like almond milk. So, yay :)

hehe. The sweetened stuff just didn't do anything for me at all. I felt all left out that I didn't have any almond milk that I liked.

Which brand do you get? I make my own for muesli but I don't think it would work in tea.

Alpro unsweetened long life. Usually I find only unsweetened soy works in tea but this definitely works too.

I like the Kara/Koko best for tea, but I'm suspecting coconut might be one cause of my allergic rash, so I'm not using it at the moment. The soya ones I've tried so far have been to beamy or chalky.

I tend to stick with the refrigerated soya light. I don't mind that at all. I could even drink a glass of it. When I'm broke though I use tesco everyday value unsweetened UHT and it is horrible.

There's a massive lack of selection here. I found the unsweetened soya a 40min drive away from my house so I won't be getting that too often.

My family's native language isn't English and my aunt just said that she likes eating grandmothers.

Ha! Awesome! I was at my friend's house once, and her grandmother was trying to explain to a family friend, in the friend's native language, what a vegan was. But the grandmother wasn't entirely fluent in that language and what she said was "raspberrycomplaint doesn't eat meat, milk, or testicles". (She meant eggs!)

Wait, wait, wait! You don't eat testicles? What kind of vegan are you?

Testicles are my favorite food group, grandmothers are my second favorite.

So a close old friend from Vancouver (known each other 14 years!) just texted me out of the blue (I never text with my Vancouver friends when we're not in the same city making plans). At first I was all excited and it seemed so sweet and touching but now it's getting... heavy. We've always had this sexual tension but every time we tried to act on it it was super awkward, and then I went and got a sex change and he's never led on about being queer so... Anyways. He's trying to tell me he's got feelings for me... and I think he might be drunk? Hmm. Not entirely sure how to handle this one.

I don't want to go to bed because I don't want it to be tomorrow.

I've totally gotten ahead of myself and ordered 2 more cookbooks. Currently, they are the highest scoring in the poll for the cookbook challenge and they are the 2 that I badly wanted to make the shortlist. I'm such a cookbookaholic.

It is 4.30am, and we're at the airport to head back home. I got maybe an hour of sleep, despite my best efforts. I suspect I'll be nearly delusional/slap-happy until I get home and in bed. Thankfully, I don't have to work today.
