Is there a point in which you know you have too much fabric? I ask because I might be there and I am going to go buy more today.

I might have a problem. Is there a fabric anonymous? Or really just a crafters anonymous?

I've spent two hours cutting firewood and I have so little to show for it. Without machines, everything is hard. I did kind of enjoy it, though.

I ate a salad for lunch. Which was good. The problem is that I'm already starving hungry again and it was a HUGE salad and I ate it only 3 hours ago! There was tofu and quinoa and veggies... why am I hungry again?! Lesson learned, salad /= a meal, for me.

I'm guessing it was our friendly neighborhood spammer under a new name? At first I thought it was a bored ppker. Now I don't know what the hell. But based on other new threads, it appears said spammer is still around and having a hissy fit.

I figured either or. Maybe we should inform the spammer that maybe there are 100 or so active US vegans on this forum and there still is no correlation between HCFS and veganism?

Last week I went to a hackers camp, 3000 people in a huge area in the Netherlands all geeking together. It was awesome! 85% was computer-related stuff, but there were a couple of really cool stuff like welding and silver smiting and metal casting and 3D printing and so on. I made two silver rings, all by myself! Hammering a piece of silver into a pretty ring was the most satisfying thing ever. Now bf and I wear matching rings :-)
Plus we got to see the new Lego Mindstorm stuff which is not yet available in Germany and it was über-cool.
Plus the Food Hackers Base had a girl who is vegan and made vegan food at every meal, I helped to make two dinners and it was so much fun.

How awesome! That sounds like a super fun time. I love learning fun new stuff!
Also, hi! I've missed you!

And I guess eating a huge salad is bad. My tummy couldn't handle it. Not sure if it was the massive amount of raw greens or something else, but that salad didn't stay down. Ugh.

I have a job interview next week and I get to choose which interview slot I want. Would you go early in the day or late? There are 8 slots, between 9.30am and 2pm. I don't know what would be best... or worst... does it matter?!?!

I would go early. It probably doesn't really matter, but if the interviewers are still fresh and not sick of interviewing, they might be more engaged.

I think I've heard you shouldn't go first (they're too fresh and harsh) or last (they just wanna be done already). I'd go just after lunch when they have happy, full bellies.....but not just before lunch if they're anything like me when I'm hungry (=crabby!)

Well, assuming interviewers are like high school students, I would avoid lunch altogether. Too soon before lunch, they are hungry and looking forward to lunch. After lunch, they are either hyped up on sugar or groggy or still in lunch time chat mode, or they have to go to the bathroom because they drank 36oz of Gatorade in 10 minutes.

First thing in the morning, they aren't awake. End of the day, they are either asleep or bouncing off the walls and watching the clock.

You gotta get them between 8 and 10am. Those are the "golden productive hours."

I'd go as early as possible, just because I'd get nervous hanging round and would do better myself earlier in the day regardless of how they felt.
When I interview for staff it doesn't make much difference who comes first or whatever. People are either good or not, the order makes no difference.

I definitely wouldn't go in the first slot, but probably the third or fourth one. I've been in an interview panel and I felt like the first couple of interviews didn't go as well as they could've, because us interviewers weren't quite in tune with eachother yet.

I blame Gwen Stefani.

I was thinking about Gwen Stefani for some reason today, and how when No Doubt first got big she was a pretty decent role model and feminist, and then she got insanely rich and everything became about (washed-up) rockstar boyfriends and Japanese girls as props and clothes and makeup. I liked her when she made her own cargo pants.

I have a tattoo consultation today. I haven't been tattooed in 4 years. I don't remember choosing an artist seeming like such a big decision! I just went to people my friends knew, and they were pretty good.
