I am unfamiliar with this filter! What's it for?

The jar owes her a dollar for a good save.

It rhymes with "baguette", if you accent the first syllable instead of the second.

I am so damn happy that I finally found the place where I belong. Portland is the only place I've ever visited where I feel, for lack of a better word, popular. For the first time in my life I feel like I don't have to prove myself before people accept me as a friend. While I was there, I just met people once and then we were friends. Just like that. And then today I got a message from someone who just saw me on a FB invite and was basically like "hey, you seem like a cute, cool queer. Let's be friends?" That never happens!!

apologies for coming into this late but ... you might consider slicing the baguette then eating the slices sideways, if that makes sense ... where the bread side of the baguette enters the mouth & not the sliced bit showing the filling ...

just a thought ...

Anne who understand these matters take time & study to resolve properly ...

Apparently someone has gotten into my office and stolen small items. Really weird. Yesterday I noticed I was missing a flashdrive and my coworker was missing his USB hub and mouse. Today I noticed my phone charger is also gone. Nothing else seems off...my jar of change is still here, people's computers are fine, etc. And it sucks that now I can't charge my phone and the only other person here with that kind of charger is someone I don't get along with at all. Grr.

In the past few days, I have removed so many bees from indoors. So many! I came home Saturday to find what ended up being a total of 11 bees and a yellow jacket, all of which I removed individually using a glass and a file folder. I'm allergic to bees, so this was a major feat. And then last night a giant (seriously the biggest ever) bee was stuck in T's kitchen. He's terrified of bees, so he just…stayed out of the kitchen all night. It was still buzzing around in there this morning, so I got him outside, too.

Bees! The flowers are outside! Outside!

I am in awe of you, allularpunk! I had a wasp in my kitchen, so I left the back door open and ran away. That didn't work, so I just left the kitchen when I heard it buzzing the next time. I haven't seen it since then so presumably it's gone out the same way it got in (air vent?) or it's dead. I'm not even allergic, I just hate the forkers.

I want to foster a cat - I was all excited about it. Then I get an opportunity and I do not feel good about it. I just feel really gloomy and the idea of moving and using some of Mar's things makes me sad. Am I overreacting? Am I rushing into this? Am I letting my anxiety control me?

Two months after Effie died I made a commitment to adopt a kitten, signed the paperwork and scheduled a time to pick her up the next day. I was super excited. Then I spent the rest of the night freaking out, drinking whiskey alone and sobbing. Then I adopted Olive and um, she's the worst cat ever. But my point is that I think those feelings are normal. I don't know if that means fostering or not fostering is the right thing though.

Oh my God. So I've been having anxiety attacks (one landed me in urgent care over the weekend) and I've started feeling depressed lately because I'm overextending myself too much...I was talking to my dad about what to do (I was asking if it was possible to move back home so I could work less) and he offered to help me with my rent.

The deal is I cut my hours at work in half (work two days a week) by June and earn at least a 3.2 GPA each quarter, and he'll pay 2/3 of my rent. I can't even. My parents fully left me hanging after I was kicked out at eighteen, and this is so out of left field. He told me he didn't want to see me fail at my life goal (academia) again, and that I was too young to have physical symptoms of stress. Every three months, we'll evaluate what we can do to make it better/easier and how my progress is.

All I have to do now is tell my bosses to cut my hours back (which I was going to do, anyway, since there's no way I'm going to have another anxiety attack).

So as of an hour and a half ago I am giving a short talk tomorrow to a large group of Very Rich People including a famous film director and several CEOs of large companies about my astronomy research. Please excuse me as I die of anxiety.

Note: this is the first I am hearing of this tour. AS IF I WASN'T STRESSED ENOUGH ALREADY

Holy shiitake you guys. "Passing on the torch" at my job should be straightforward and helpful, but my boss and my coworkers and the new hires are making it crazy awkward! I think everyone is so worried that I'm not comfortable with the transition, but I SO AM (I quit!). I mean, I was comfortable before they made it all weird.

I turned down a job offer today. Logically I know I made the right decision, yet I'm freaking out a little that I should have taken it.

I was just looking in our Rifftrax cart and saw we own 72 shorts and 108 things in total including full length movies and mp3 commentaries. i think that was money well spent.

I just got my third phone in ten days. Here's hoping this one works. I ended up with a Galaxy S5.

Oh wow. I need to get Twilight. I dearly love those movies for all the wrong reasons. I'm not so sure Molly appreciates my running commentary properly though.

They have Casino Royale too, but I'm not sure how to snark on the most perfect movie ever made (probably my Daniel Craig love has left me a little biased). I might have to get that too.
