I always wonder about that, because I also feel like he was everywhere when I was a little kid, but I was born in 73...

He was a big deal. I remember when I was growing up there was one of those urban legends (maybe it was true) that Evel had broken 'every bone in his body'. I kind of remember some kid at school making that claim about Evel breaking every bone in his body and some smart asparagus kid shooting that down, saying 'not the bone in his ear!'

now it may just be the post-eye doctor dilation malaise, but that on the left there really looks like a meat-sicle....
