Dude, WHAT? Oats in the smoothie! Mind is definitely blown. Does it end up oatmeal-y?

It's even more awesome if you soak the oats first.

I recently discovered coating tofu in cornstarch before stir-frying.... am I the only one who didn't know about this?

Also, for more avocado toast variations: EB, Avocado, and Nooch on sprouted toast. Also Olive oil, Nooch, and salt on popcorn.... or various herbs and spices instead of nooch if you're feeling gourmet.

I was feeling ultra lazy the other night and bought a can of Amy's chili w/ veggies. I twanged it on some baked taters that were smothered with EB and nooch and it was way more awesome than I expected it to be. My little boy gobbled it up.

Okay, so I thought I was being original with my "dry miso soup packet plus veganaise as dip" idea, but I just looked at the package and they suggest that.

Poo.

But, hey, plagiarism is yummy!

Nope! It's AMAAAAAAAAZING. That and almond butter turns a fruit smoothie into a POWER BREAKFAST.

Dude, hemp seeds and spinach. WA-BAM!

I honestly did not know of these Peanut Chews until I went trick-or-treating this year (for the first time in about a decade; yeah, I'm too old). Anyway, this little old lady gave us a couple and for the heck of it, despite there being chocolate, I did my vegan thang and skimmed the ingredients. Mind = blown. I'm buying bags of these from now on.
.

Well, at least when I lived in chicago I never figured out where to get peanut chews, though I think they might be expanding their distributions? Maybe, but at least 4 years ago they were unavailable there. I was quite sad, but I never found them frequently in Ohio either. At least I found they sell them @ Rite Aid here! Question is whether Rite Aids in Asheville sell them now that I'm moving.

ps- Woo Yooper! I'm half yooper myself; grandfather and mother born there, grandma's from Calumet but moved to Marquette as a child I think. Aaaand now I want to make veggie pasties.

I want to know too, but I think I'm probably better off not knowing...

Melt 1/3c cocoa butter and add to one package (mori nu) silken tofu in blender. Add powdered sugar (1/4c or to taste). Add 1-2 tsp vanilla. Add 1 tbsp cornstarch. Blend. Voila! White chocolate mousse.

Substitute melted cocoa butter for 1/2 the amount of oil in baking recipes (all time fave in chocolate chip cookies). You're welcome.

Hm. Maybe I'm just addicted to cocoa butter.

OH!! And make "nut" sorbet... Put 1/2c roughly chopped pistachios (or other nut), 1c HOT (almost boiling) water, little bit of maple syrup to taste (or other sweetener), pinch salt, in blender. Blend for a long asparagus time - until super smooth. Pour into very, shallow baking sheet(s) with a rim around them lined with plastic wrap or parchment paper. Freeze until sorbet consistency (not rock hard, but scoopable - about 45-60 minutes, depending on how cold your freezer is). You can scoop into a bowl or something after it's frozen, but I'm not so fancy and I just eat it out of the baking sheet.

Or with Tabasco! It's my favorite thing to eat when I just don't want to cook.

Amazing. I'm sad it took me so long to try it in the first place.
