My Friday night was pretty rad. . . my friends and I started hiking, but ended up cutting it short because it was colder and wetter outside than we had anticipated. Mini-hike was followed by making awesome nachos, then watching Harry Potter movies whilst drinking Kahlua-spiked Silk nog.
My Saturday night = working, followed by drinking [too much] hard cider while wasting time on the internetz. I'll probably make hot chocolate soon, and watch some 30 Rock reruns on instant Netflix. . . my life is crazy, y'all.
Also, reading this thread makes me really glad to be done with school. I liked college a lot, but I definitely don't miss the endless cycle of stress/procrastination.

My Friday night was also pretty good. I went to see Michelle Stodart (of The Magic Numbers) playing her solo material. The opening act, Richard Warren, was amazing. I'll definitely look him up again. Afterward I went to the pub to catch up with my friend and got my ear bent for half an hour.

Reading The Killing Floor by Lee Child and watching Molly hatch schemes to get wine.
I've gotten better at protecting my glass from conniving conures, so now she waits until I take a sip and then rushes up to try to lick wine off my lips. I'm pretty sure this is probably gross, but, damn, the bird does not give up.

I'm still at work. I really want some of the cider I have in the fridge, but I have to swim tonight. So do I drink before swimming, which seems like a dubious idea at best? Or do I drink after? (I like to swim late so that I can just come home all worn out and go straight to sleep.) I can't stay up late because I have you-can't-be-hungover stuff in the morning.

I'm sitting in my cold house, thinking of how the car may be breaking so since this is happening the one weekend I wanted to go to something 3+hrs away tomorrow, probably a bad idea. So I'm bored and disappointed, especially since the malfunctions came out of nowhere today.

I'm in my new house all alone with Chester and 10 industrial size dehumidifiers and fans. They look like pods and I can't hear my Seinfeld over them.

Went to a record store and saw a bit of a live band, walked around the park that lit all their christmas lights, now it's time for a shower and pjs and hopefully sleep soon. It's 9:00pm.

Well, I baked a pumpkin cherry bundt cake, made cranapple butter and canned it, and now my partner and I are trying to figure out what we're going to do for dinner. He originally volunteered to make chili, but he indicated he will probably punk out as I was putting the apple butter into jars, since it's 7:30 and he hasn't made it to the store yet... Haha.
Cake for dinner! That's what I vote for. Too bad he's not much for sweets...

I'm chilling in the basement of my parent's house in the midwest USA... bored out of my mind. Everyone has been in bed for hours, all my friends elsewhere are at parties and can't talk/text with me. And my mom keeps giving me dirty looks every time I have an alcoholic beverage so I'm trying to not have another glass of wine or three.

Update! He went to the store and made the chili recipe from the Vegan Table. It was good!
Cake was also good! My cat thinks so, too. Does anyone else have a cat with a sweet tooth? Mine pretended to be all snuggly with me and then jumped up on my desk and started licking the leftover glaze and cake crumbs from my plate. O.o Other favorite foods of hers are the oatmeal that's left stuck to the bowl when I'm done with it and the few dribbles of soy milk in the bowl after I eat cereal, but NOT plain soy milk from the carton... I guess she likes the sugary flavor of whatever cereal I ate.

I completed my outdoor holiday light display last night (in the dark lol). That was actually a pretty wild and crazy exciting friday night for me!

I wrenched my back yesterday and now it's ouchy. So I'm just going to relax with a heating pad and a book.

I went for an hour run and now I am in my jammies, contemplating dinner and watching "Monsters Inside Me" which, oddly enough, has not put me off the idea of eating. I should make cookies, too.

The girls are in bed and my husband's band has a show tonight so I'm enjoying the quiet by doing laundry and reading.

Turned in the last problem set of the term. Celebrated by falling asleep in the bath tub. Live dangerously.
