i am reading, and maybe decorating some salt dough ornaments. Perhaps having a small glass of homemade plum wine with lots of ice.
outside, some crazy person is revving the shiitake out of their car (not clear whether it's for fun, or they can't get it in gear to come up the hill in front of our house) while playing what sounds like the theme from the Benny Hill Show at full blast on the car stereo. I tell you, Brazil sometimes is unfathomable.

I cleaned my apartment's living room and put together my new vacuum cleaner all by myself. I had a vegan blt from a restaurant nearby and now I'm PPKing, listening to music & tumblr-ing. :) (OH and eating fudgy oatmeal cookies from VCIYCJ)

I was supposed to be celebrating finishing the end of term by drinking rum-spiked soy nog and knitting, but I had some technical issues and had to get an extension on my project. So now I'm sipping a mug of the rum-spiked nog at 1:30am while listening to the Fleet Foxes, on 3 hours of sleep, after a night of working (still not finished yet), and the warm fuzzy feeling from the rum is starting to spread. I'll probably pass out in bed as soon as I get to the bottom of my mug...

met with the ladyfriend for a trip to the fancy friday night street event thingy for a shared philly cheesesteak, bowl of chili, corn bread, and a fudgy brownie with ice cream on top, then off to the bar for a cocktail or 6, then cab ride back to my place for a few hours of sexy time
A+ friday night

Worked late (I have a job now! Woot!), so came home, ate homemade pizza, had a beer and watched a Christmas movie (Miracle on 34th St? I can't remember the title.)

My 4 year old niece showed me all of the games on the CBeebies website and tried to convince me we were having a sleepover at her house. Then I watched reruns of 'A Touch of Frost' with my parents.

I went to the library on my way back from work (7.30 am to 3.30 pm shift, so library was still open, yay!) to check my email; went home and spent hours making empire biscuits and packaging them and other home baking for my work Christmas Fayre, made and ate a big bowl of spaghetti, spinach and nooch that I was really hungry for; had a shower; did a bit of much-needed tidying of my room; finally did some laundry as there is now space to hang it up in my room and read my book in bed.
Unfortunately did not have time to do as much cleaning as I'd hoped. Still stayed up late- so crazyish.

Hung out with a friend who I hadn't seen in a while. . . we ate some delicious Indian food, then wandered around downtown for a while before it got too cold for comfortable wandering, then came back to my apartment to play with my cat for a while. After she left, I drank some mediocre beer and watched Luther on Netflix (this show is addictive!). A pretty good Friday night, but definitely not wild 'n' crazy.

I really want to bake another batch of cookies, but there's no way I have the motivation to wash any more dishes.

watching the x files while making walnut brownies for a friend who is sad, might make a grilled cheese later, and going to go to the gym at like 2am, party like woah.

I just found a stash of chocolate bars that I had hidden from myself. I'm extremely sensitive to chocolate. It's about to get really wild and crazy here.

I got a surprise hug and bought some smoked tofu with sunflower seeds in which will make an amazing packed lunch for me when I travel to visit relatives. Also I bought two jars of Lotus speculoos type spread. So far I have been eating spoonfuls out of the jar. A lot is gone- it is a good thing I bought two jars.

My Friday was mildly crazy. It was the special-lady-friend's birthday, but we are also both sick, so we saw The Hobbit, and got vegan pizza and then went home. She fell asleep while we watched Capote. Wheeeee!

Anyone else? Or just me?
I'm having Chinese food delivery (thank you boyfriend), wine, and am already in my sweatpants. Anticipated activities include Netflix and reading The Eye of the World...which is so good.
What are you all doing?

I will be doing a run test consisting of a series of 1200s at steadily increasing heart rates, until I can't take it anymore (read: rating of perceived exertion 9 on a scale of 1 to 10) and give up. I bet you're all jealous. It's going to take me for freakin' ever. And then I will watch the rest of the Lance Armstrong interview.

Sweatpants? Shoot, I'm already in my jammies. I may get caught up on the last 3 episodes of Parenthood that are on my DVR, or else I'll keep watching season 5 of Angel on DVD (I'm like 1/3 of the way thru). Excitingness.

The class I'm taking for my big senior thesis paper is called Rhetoric of Hollywood Film. This is very dangerous, because I will now be able to justify setting aside an alarming stack of reading in the interests of going to the movies. Which is exactly what I'm doing tonight. Because, you know. It's research.

working. working, working, working. stupid money and needing it to pay for things. i keep telling myself that when i'm done with these books at the end of the month i'll have made enough extra money to pay for almost a whole year of health insurance, but that won't matter if i die of exhaustion/boredom in the meantime.
