It's like kangaroo meets rat meets teddy bear meets awesome! Why does Australia get all the best animals?

I'm pretty sure everyone who's been to Rottnest Island does not share this appreciation. (But I haven't been, so I guess they're cute.) starrynight87 wrote: Why does Australia get all the best animals? I don't think we get the best animals so much as the most poisonous, arse-kicking ones - although I guess that could be the same thing. At least all quokkas will probably do is steal your food.

if you like cute names and quokka-looks, you should also check out the pademelon ;)
and at my last house, we had both the super-cute pademelons and the super-poisonous funnelweb spiders. and a 3 metre long resident python. and jumping ants :( so yeah. we get all the cuteness, but it's offset by all of the stingy, bitey things.
