December means a lot of work in my job. So I need to bake cookies, do some handicraft and christmas shopping right now when I have still time to enjoy it.

Normally I'd be with you. Buuut, I'm feeling the Christmas cheer this year, and I welcome it. We hardly get a proper autumn, anyway.

I met this guy this weekend who has "Sleigh Ride" as his ringtone all year round. It's pretty fantastic.

No Thanksgiving here, so I think "one month out" (i.e. late November) is a good rule of thumb. The shopping centre near me has had its decorations up for a week or so now, but what really amazed me was that the department store put up its "Christmas shop" (i.e. a section of the shop floor devoted to Christmas decorations) in mid-forking-September. What. I don't remember it being that bad in past years.
I like Christmas, but all the more so when it's low-key and easy and doesn't involve huge amounts of shopping.
