The index came in, and, unsurprisingly, it's the worst one I've ever seen.

This lady was actually very nice, but she said something that really hit home for me the fact that most people just do not understand how retail works. She was asking about some product, and I mentioned that we other people have asked about it, but we don't carry it. She said that if so many people ask for it, we should just carry it! Well…distributors and all that. We can't just carry everything that anyone mentions, ever. We even do a lot of special ordering for people, but if our distributors don't carry it, we can't get it.

This lady was understanding, but so many people just do not get it. Or choose to not get it, I dunno.

A client gave me a lecture about my desk. Which yes, was in a state of chaos as I was in the middle of a work project.
Considering the clients we get, this was just ...NO

Giving this office the wrong address does not absolve you from your court appointed punishments.

I deal with many doctors, lawyers, CEOs and government officials everyday. Some of them are super friendly and awesome but some of them are just jerks. It use to bother me but now I just ignore their negative behaviour and do what I do. If they are really bad I report them to the correct authority or I make a comment on their behaviour when it happens. Haven't been fired yet. Going on 5 years.

Oops. I may have misunderstood the point of this thread. My bad!

What was your point in posting that? To be condescending or patronizing?
This is a safe thread for us to share our stories.

I just misunderstood the thread. My costumers are made up of the people I described. They can be very mean at times and I just wanted to share how I deal with the verbal abuse. I didn't mean anything by my post. I'm very sorry. I would delete my post if I could.

It truly was a misunderstanding. Forgive me.

My boss used to give me hell for my desk chaos! I was so annoyed because I thrive in the chaos (when my shiitake is all put away, I find myself wasting time organizing and not getting to the actual work), but she used that retort to criticize me for being a "disorganized creative type." This was all "joking" with an emphasis on the quotation marks.

The state of my home desk is always chaos. I make things, I am creative. I love the chaos for those projects. My work desk is usually spotless though.
But the real irony was that this client came in wanting new copies of his paper work because he lost his first set.

Today a man asked me what was the best soap. For what? For moisturizing? For acne? For delicious scent? For the least additives? And then he asked me what was the best vitamin. FOR WHAT?

You guys, I got this.

Unscented castille soap.

Vegan gummy chewable multis.

Does melatonin count as a medicine? No? Ok, this anti-anxiety med that my partner gave me one of recently. It was great. No wait! Trick question. Laughter. Whew.

Sandwiches.

Ha, as I was scrolling down I thought this read, "Dehydrated people." Ew! Also, NV! Also, it would be hilarious if a customer asked you this and that was your answer.

On a related note, what is the best preparation method for cooking dehydrated people?

Soak in broth, saute with garlic.

Or, if you buy them whole, give a broth infusion.

Before or after washing them with unscented castille soap?

Author:  allularpunk [ Tue May 27, 2014 7:36 am ]
Post subject:  Re: Very Special Customers/Clients

I totally recommended unscented castille soap, and that's what he bought. The best vitamin is a men's over 50 once a day, apparently, but it was too expensive, so.

I am sick of people's sense of entitlement around the service industry, and the fact that if they don't get exactly the experience they want they can complain online. Then, bosses take that shiitake seriously, and gently scold the three., really busy employees.
