So... I live with 5 other people, one of them has become more and more isolated lately, and barely talks to anyone. That is if we even see him, he seems to have taken over the unused part of the house downstairs. He has dropped out of uni (he is here on a student visa from france). He has also started interviewing people for the rooms that will be vacant in a few weeks when some other housemates leave, without discussing it with anyone else.

So anyway, today I was downstairs looking for some of my stuff that I left down there, and I noticed a swastika made out of coins on the table. Is this a bad sign or just, something else? Am I going to die?

Um, seriously, i'd be really, really disturbed by this. What do your other housemates think about the situation? If he's not in uni and on a student visa, can you make some anonymous phone calls and erm, expedite his exit? I'd be out of that house lickety split, personally.

i'm the confrontational type and am amazed i'm still with this mortal coil. i'd ask him directly what message he intended to convey with his coin art. perhaps he's a fan of native american tapestry, which incorporated the swastika, a symbol of wealth.

if he's disgruntled give him an ultimatum. no one deserves to live with an abusive person. his happiness or displeasure with the world is not your responsibility. your safety is.

I don't know why but I find this to be the funniest thing I have read on the new boards.

no lie, the first quilt i ever made i was not really doing well and i had a more experienced friend come to help me lay out the pieces, we're standing in my apartment looking at all the pieces that we've taken 4 hours to get into an acceptable layout and my friend corks her head and says "you know, this is a swastika?"

I wouldn't brand him a nazi psycho killer just yet. Crazy though it may seem, I would talk to him and ask if he's doing ok.
If that fails pack yourself in a jar of rice to sleep. Who would look for you there? And as an added bonus you'll be nice and dry when you wake.

I would find this story funny, but I'm too busy laughing at how the filter won't let your friend cork her head!
