Sup, babehs! I am still thisheregiraffe, but my name is Kelsey. I like hummus, painting, Star Wars and almost everything else. Ask me if you're interested, but I'm sure you'll find out anyway.
So much talk of tater tots. What's taters, precious? What's taters, eh??

Hi!
My name is Nicholas. (I'm not very creative when it comes to user names.) I'm 21 years old. I live in St. Catharines, Ontario. I'm wearing pajama pants and a Polar Bear Club sweater. My favourite colours are Orange and Purple. I spend most of my time writing music and trying to start horrible pop punk bands. I don't think I really have any other "talents". I spilled Coke all over my keyboard about an hour ago and it's making typing really annoying.
I've been lurking these boards for awhile so I figured now was a good time to start posting.
Also, whats a tator tot?

^^ I can't hear/read that without having the "What funny little birds" song from the oldschool animated Hobbit pop loudly into my head.
Back to the topic . . . Wow, new awesome! I was a super sporadic poster on the old boards, so I figured I'd reintroduce myself here...on page 5. 5!
I'm Raygun. I live in Brooklyn. I teach. I'm in library school. I've got some crazy pet rats. And we are all pro-potatoes.

As for the tots, they are a no go for me. I am down with any other form of spud though. Word. hey! welcome! I'm from San Diego, too although I live in New York now. There did not used to be many san diegans on the boards, but it seems like there are a bunch now! I really like your etsy shop. really cool stuff!

Hey! Double newbie here. Went completely vegan Oct 1 2010! VWAV is the only vegan cookbook I've purchased so far and that's what led me here to join my first vegan forum! Saw a couple of other folks from NC here. That's encouraging since there's not a vegan (or even a vegetarian of any sort) in my day to day life, including my husband and 14 year old daughter that live with me! For some reason, they just are not as excited as I am when I tell them I found a great non dairy coffee creamer replacement! Well, I'm sure there are some at the Whole Foods, but I don't KNOW them or have a relationship with them!
Since so many of the people on here seem to have been vegans for a while, you may have forgotten how limited your food choices seem at first (especially going from a mainstream carnivore diet directly to vegan.) I am so so thankful for the Internet and sites like this! Not only are there tons of food choices, but there are tons of incredibly mouthwatering food choices! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE when ya'll post pics of home prepared food! Let's me know what it should look like if I do it right and inspires me to try new things! I'm planning to make my first purchase of tofu on today's shopping trip! No laughing, I am way intimidated with tofu and seitan!
So, needless to say, I love to "talk" so to speak, and am glad I found my way here!

Hey, I am new.
I've been vegan since June 2009 and spend most of my time reading and internetting and working and biking places. I eat a lot of sandwiches, mmm, and I live in Olympia, WA and did not effing sleep last night and simultaneously regret it and feel like it was worth it.

I'm jordan. I've been vegan 7.5 years. I live in San Francisco with Son of Seitan, to whom I am married. We have two cats, Pazuzu and Lucy. They are both very bad but in different ways.
I am one of the ladies behind Sugar Beat Sweets (along with Jaymoh, ErikaSoyfucker, melisser, and maygles) and one of the ladies behind The Cosmopolitan Hour (along with Erika).
I don't know what to do about a new avatar and wish you name changers would put your old names in your signatures.

Hello!
I'm Caeli, brand new to the boards, but admittedly a bit of a lurker for some time. I live in Tassie in Australia at the moment, but from Melbourne, and before that from Perth. Love green, and am partial to tater tots, but gotta say i'm more for the 'potato tornado' i just discovered...it's a potato all sliced up in a coil, kinda like you do with those funky apple things....then it's stuck on a stick, fried, and covered in flavour. Mmmm bad for you goodness.

I'm Vee! I kept my same name and avatar, but I barely ever post in the forum cos I only really perv on the food porn and check for tips in the UK thread. Tater tots are nice but wayyyyy over hyped. I'll take Jamie Oliver roast potatoes or Vegan with a Vengeance cajun fries over tots any day of the week!

Hi! I'm ariel. A long time vegetarian, 9 month-old vegan (By which I mean, it took me a long time to come around to the whole no more new wool sweaters thing, the food part is easy...Do you know where the good vegan sweaters are?!) happy to be wasting time here when I should be working on my MA thesis. I'm a kitten whisperer, a bicycle aficionado, and a die hard fan of anything involving potatoes...So, despite my anti-junk food stance, I'm pro-tots. BRING THEM ON.
Nice to meet you :)

Ok, I have totally been on the ppk before, but was never a notable high-count poster slash disappeared for long chunks of time.
So hey! I went vegan at 16 and am now 20 (nearly 21!), first joined ppk in october 2006 I think! I am in college, it's nice, and I cook way more than anyone my age I know. I used to hate potatoes but then spent a summer in Ecuador where that is all there is to eat ever, and instead of that backfiring, I kinda like them now. Thus.. maybe I do like tater tots? I'd have to try them.
And finally, my avatar is Lady Gaga's kale bikini and I am contemplating some sort of halloween getup made of kale and lettuce because that would be fantastic.

Hi I'm Ali. I don't know what tater tots are so have no opinion pro- or anti- I've been vegan for a while and have converted everyone at work to Isa's vegan cupcakes, even so far as to get a commission to make a million (60) for my (non-vegan) friend's wedding cakes. Cool.

I'm Dianne. I'm a graduate student with a focus on Early Modern English literature, living in central Massachusetts with my awesome medievalist partner Robert (Voice of Raisin on the PPK), our dog, our cat, and three sons. A few times a year, VoR's awesome - and vegan! - twin daughters are also part of the mix. I like to cook, read, write, play with my human and animal friendss, screw around on the PPK, and watch movies about post-war, working class Britain (in whatever order these things happen to present themselves).

I'm Christina. I used to lurk the old PPK boards, but I never got an account so I'm a board virgin and you all have just taken my board flower, so to speak.
I feel so dirty.
Vegan for two years now, vegetarian since I was wee. If you cut me open, I'd probably bleed hummus. There are very few fruits and veggies I dislike. My boyfriend is a super-picky omni, so that gets interesting.
I'm going to stop now before this gets all tl;dr on you guys.

I'm Jenn. I lurked randomly on the old forum, decided it was time to join so that I have something else to distract me at my boring call center job. I'm at work right now! I've been munching on a mess of fried rice, garbanzo beans, garlic and tomatoes all evening. I live in Austin, TX, and I just rescued a fat orange tomcat named Claudius. I bet he loves tater tops.

Hi I'm Sue, I was a lurker and sporatic poster on the old board. I fell off the vegan wagon and working to get back on. Joined the peta 30 day challenge ate a mango for breakfast and I'm ready to go.
I promise to not be a stranger (that sounds kind of creepy, doesn't it?)
