Hello, I'm from Vancouver Island, was raised vegetarian but ceased to be vegetarian in my adult life. Now our teenage son has led us to a vegan way of life by example. Excited to try making this 'cashew cheese' that I keep seeing recipes for.

Hi everyone!

So excited to join the forum; I've read so many threads (most especially the cookbook ones :D) and now I'm jumping in too!

And I apparently can't figure out how to properly size a picture for my avatar... is there something obvious I am missing?

Thanks for the help and have a great evening!

Hello, I have been lurking for over a year and enjoy reading posts but never got around to registering. I have been vegan just over 2 years and my only regrets are that I didn't do it sooner and raise my children as vegan. I am from Northern Ireland and celebrating my half century this year (hope I'm not too old for all you lovely people).

Hello Everyone.

I had a profile here before but all my login info was lost with my previous laptop.
I am in school to become a social worker. When I'm not working on that I enjoy riding my bike everywhere and I am about to begin volunteering with a hospice.

Ciao ragazzi,
I literally stumbled across this forum and subsequently the website yesterday. In love.
I'm trying to go fully vegan in backwoods southern Italy, which is apparently somewhat of an alien concept.
I live for making the world a better place, and for creating the best environment possible for my family. I have four children: two boys from my own body, one furry daughter who won my heart at 8 weeks, and one refugee child who cannot live with me but gets my full support and love always.

Hi eminitalia, welcome to the forum!

Where I grew up veganism was an alien concept too, but the awesome thing about places like this is we get to form communities with like-minded people from across the globe :)

Hi, I've been eating Vegan (not eating Vegans lol) for a little over a year and I feel soooooooo much better. I'm diabetic and need to find lower carb recipes so, feel free to pass them my way. Finding low carb Vegan recipes has been a challenge. I'm hoping this community will be a great resource. My numbers have gotten to the point where my doctor offered to take me off my meds. :-O

Hello,

I'm Sophie and I'm a long time lurker of these boards. Figured I've lurking long enough, so finally decided to sign up! I'm based in the UK and have been vegan for over 7 years now.

Looking forward to getting stuck in :)

Welcome Sophie! I know what you mean, I read all the threads to my favorite cookbooks and some I was considering buying, and then I thought, I want to share about them too :)!

Hello everyone! I'm about to go to bed so I don't have much to say at the moment. However, I'm looking forward to meeting some new people here and learning some new yummy recipes!

Hello there! I recently fell into vegetarianism/veganism by accident and decided to stick with it - I do most of the cooking at home because I'm on summer break from work, and I realized I hadn't cooked animal products in over a week and was feeling good about it. Husband is omni, but fully supportive and eats anything that I cook (and often gets a second helping).

Fun fact: I do my own canning of pickles, jams, and other condiments. This lends itself well to my newly developing eating habits.

I've been lurking here for longer than I'd like to think and now I'm going to celebrate my 2 year vegan-versary in August! I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, so I've benefited greatly from the PPK boards in the past, and now it's time for me to participate as a full member.

I cook for myself and my omni husband, who is Isa's biggest fan. I'm a boring PhD student who doesn't do much aside from cook, eat, and read journal articles, so I needed a boring username :P

I have been lurking on the board for a number of years. Don't know why I didn't register (probably laziness). I've been vegan for about three years. I am a Terry/Isa stan and I stalk these boards while I should be working. Speaking of work I am a Kitchen and Bath designer. Spend a lot of time in kitchens, thinking about kitchens and how people use them.

Hello all, I'm Rick, aspiring vegan (actually mostly vegan) but haven't quite made the switch entirely yet. Maybe I'll find the bit of inspiration I need right here! Tater tots? Can't live with em, can't kill em.

Hey all! Leslie here from Ohio, where tater tots are basically a food group. Happy to be part of the PPK community!

Hello!

I'm sort of from London (grew up in New Zealand) but in the process of moving to the Netherlands. I was encouraged to join the PPK forum by a Dutch woman who I contacted about Vegetarian and Vegan products in the Netherlands.

Tater tots are known as 'Pom pons' where I grew up and I never really saw the attraction. Still don't.

Any food thats named after the thing on woollen hats HAS to be dubious in nature.
