Except when you buy cheapo shiitake digestives and you dunk quick but they still fall into your tea. Then at the end you get a gobful of biscuit crumbs that you forgot about.
Also, my favourite pregan thing was putting a load of maltesers into a cup of tea then when you get to the end you have a big blob of melty malty chocolate. I miss maltesers! I used to do that at sleepovers as a kid! We'd have hot chocolate and tip a bag of chocolate buttons in and then at the end have this lovely gooey stuff. Hey I can still do that I guess! Chocolate buttons from tesco and hot chocolate..hmmm... I want veganized chocolate buttons AND maltesers so much. Not in tea, but I WANT THEM.

We have vegan kit kats in Canada! But they are dark chocolate and not nearly as delicious as the original.

Yesterday, I saw a Justin's version of snickers but... then saw it used milk chocolate. Not that I ever cared for snickers but I was hoping for a vegan candy bar option for those that do.
And all of you pouring milk over pie, cake and whatever else, you are crazy.
Although I will admit I like dipping cookies in almond milk. Chocolate chip are a pretty good choice.

you have vegan kit kats?? I am wel jel. I used to like biting off the top and bottom, then sucking tea through it and then eating the melty squishy goodness!
I used to do it with twixes too.
Damn, now I want vegan twixes!

I'd be happy to send you some! But they aren't quite like the real thing. Actually you live in Surrey and I'm going to be staying with relatives in Surrey in April so...?

The only place I regularly see the vegan Kit Kats is at a Sobey's I live nearby. I have never seen the vegan Aeros. Which seems cruel, as I don't really like Kit Kats but I miss Aero bars!

Okay, this week's pet peeve is meeting new people who learn that I'm vegan, and hearing from them about people they know who USED to be vegetarian/vegan but that they had to start eating flesh because their doctor said they'd die a slow and horrible death without it.
WHY do people insist on sharing this? When I talk to people who eat meat, I don't tell them about the people I know who used to eat meat but stopped because blah blah blah... although THAT's a much more interesting story. I should counter with vegan-conversions the next time I'm stuck talking to a nincompoop.
Is that how you spell it? "Nincompoop?"

I have two for today:
Getting a kiss from your omni "other" that tastes like chicken. So yuck. (In general I don't think kisses should taste unless they are chocolate or wine flavored!)
Hearing how my sister just "loved" the "losts veggie lentil stew" from AFR which she made for her family, but "of course I added shredded chicken to it, you know for protein." What are lentils!!!!! And of course the broccoli soup was great too with the addition of cheese.

The dissection is my favorite though.

Ha, the protein comment is especially funny for a book that includes nutritional content info for each recipe. I guess most people don't really know how much protein they need, though, so even if it said 100 grams protein per serving she'd still think it wasn't enough. Maybe one day she'll get around to reading the nutrition section in the beginning?

In any case, the whole point of them is to bite off the chocolate all around the sides and then bite apart each layer and nom them. I normally like dark chocolate better too! But I am a dark chocolate snob, so I'd rather Kit-Kats be their own entity altogether. A cheap, crappy, milk chocolatey crispy bar of goodness. If that makes sense (it doesn't). I was similarly disappointed by the Aero bars. A vegan version of that mint milk chocolate Aero bar (the one I ate after swimming and ballet growing up) would thrill me! baps, I'm not sure where my relatives live in Surrey, but when we have our itinerary nailed down I'll let you know! :)

I'm wondering if they would do a dark chocolate version though. I'd try it.

Go Max Go bars are kind of a pet peeve because I think they taste really good but they all tickle my throat and make my mouth feel weird. I don't really know what it is, but it feels like the mildest of allergic reactions.

There are dozens, I'm sure. You don't get my special vegan one.
