Do they also oppose water fluoridation because that's totally a communist conspiracy?

I work with someone who is allergic to dairy, but suffers through it because cheese, duh.

my aunt is a dental hygenist and apparently a lot of super earthy crunchy natural hippie type people oppose water flouridation.
i believe the reasoning was because they oppose any chemicals added to anything i think.

not sure what the whole line of reasoning was but there are people out there that oppose it.

The breastfeeding not being vegan thing- words fail me!

My mom has mild lactose intolerance but takes some sort of pills so she can keep drinking a glass of milk with every meal. Because she is TERRIFIED of osteoporosis, and is convinced that drinking lots of milk is the only way to not get osteoporosis.

Also- anyone who thinks breastfeeding is not vegan is REALLY missing the point. As if it were about avoiding animal products (including human breast milk) just because they are animal products by definition...

The stories of the resistance to dairy allergies is making me crazy! Luckily, I have a few friends with dairy-allergic kids and they messaged me right away and to ask for some recipes and product recommendations. One couple keeps messaging me because they're dying to set up a vegan pizza making hang-out! I'm going to have to give them a big huge hug next time I see them.

My sister-in-law (who is an ex-vegan, but is still vegetarian - but eats fish...) is really sensitive to dairy and gets really bad stomach aches from it, but is of the, "But mmmm cheese, I couldn't live without it!" camp. But she's also sensitive to soy, so she says, and she avoids that like the plague. Like, at restaurants, she will ask if there's any soy in something just to be sure because she doesn't want to be sick, but will then eat ice cream and feel sick but be fine with that.

it was kinda confusing the way i wrote it, but the disgusting vegan cheese that she had to eat and the McDonalds things she was eating in order to keep weight on (what the fizzle?? of all the high-calorie things out there??) were two different things. both equally strange and infuriating! why did you have to eat disgusting vegan cheese? and why does that make all vegan cheese disgusting? and why do i have to be so damn polite when i talk to people that i never ask these questions to their faces?

Why does dark/edgy have to involve gross stuff like clothing/accessories made of 'road kill'?...

Wild Cow. It's usually really good, so I feel weird complaining. I do wish I'd spoken up about the brunch though. It's a relatively new thing, and I'd like for it to be successful, but it was just bad.

Re: soy formula- I was born lactose intolerant and had to have soy formula and I survived! Miracle baby!

I sautéed all three of my babies in a little olive oil and breastfed some pork chops instead. Those babies did give me pretty terrible gas, but it was worth it to have my butt stop sagging.

Once again, bloody hospital food (or lack of it).
Got in A&E early this morning, transferred to a ward where I was told they had no food I could eat at all. Didn't get discharged till 7pm. No food all day. Ridiculous!

I hope you are going to formally complain. That is beyond ridiculous.

My mom's post on Facebook saying "where do you get one of those down coats with coyote fur trim? They are so warm and coyotes kill small dogs and cats" and my sister piping up and saying how great they were and coyotes are killing livestock and attacking people in the suburbs in her area. And when I freaked on both of them and asked how she would like it if her dog got stuck in a leg hold trap for 5 days she said "all the hunters I know use guns. Have a good night".

I hate that I am related to people that I don't like. And my sister used to be a vegetarian.

Oh man, that is so crappy. One of my greatest pet peeves is how coyotes are so maligned by people. They're the ones who belong here and I feel like some loss of livestock is the price you pay for invading their habitat. As if thats an excuse to Kill them anyway. and if people dont want their pets killed, supervise them when theyre outside! jeeze. Preaching to the choir, I know.

I just saw a terrible fb post by maybe animal place or some other sanctuary of a coyote they had to put down after getting stuck in a foot trap and almost gnawing his leg completely off. Maybe that is something you can share on her wall...
