That kind of fuckery is the worst. Can date/nut balls be tasty? Sure. Are they donut holes? HELLS NO.

THANK YOU. And frozen banana mush isn't ice cream!

(I know there was an entire thread dedicated to the non-ice cream-ness of frozen bananas, but I felt the need to reiterate.)

May I add that cutting raw vegetables into pasta shapes doesn't turn them into pasta?

I think that stuff can be good, but that doesn't make them donut holes, soft serve, or noodles.

Teehee, this reminds me of the Parks and Rec episode when Chris brings the vegetable bake thing as a wedding cake. "Not only does this thing exist, but you have denied everyone of cake."

Oh hell no. Also, it's astonishing to me that that 'recipe' (is that really a recipe? Put apple sticks in a tortilla that's been spread with peanut butter and granola?) won a most creative sandwich contest. Any recipe in the vegan sandwiches book would trump that one a million times over. And they would be actual recipes, to boot.

My peeve is that I am too cheap to be vegan! http://www.veganstore.com/product/1473/ ... her-sweets

And anyone who says "make your own" gets a bottle of food coloring chucked at them. So there.

I don't think we get candy corn in Britain, so I've always wondered - what are they like? Chewy? Puffy like popcorn? Hard? Crispy? I NEED TO KNOW! Um, please. :)

Hazel, candy corn is sweet and more chewy than anything. If it's old it gets hard but it should be more chewy once you bite into it. Most or all of the candy corn in the US has honey in it (I think). Or some other things that makes it not vegan. I made and sold it for a few years in my etsy shop because it is quite delightful.

In Canada it's not vegan because of egg white or beeswax, I think. It's usually made with corn syrup for sweetness, as far as I know. I love it, and I totally wish there were vegan ones here.
