actually, no i don't. i could quite do without the last 5 minutes of people talking about the lovely taste of copper and zinc in oysters. RTE, i listen for classical music, not sneaky BBC crepe like this.

I found some that was vegan except for confectioners glaze. Confectioners glaze is my pet peeve ruining otherwise vegan candy.

CCK's desserts that I have tried are actually really good. It's equal parts nut butter and powdered sugar, which to me sounds yum because it's basically like the filling for peanut butter cups.

But that doesn't make it candy corn.

Sorry, I can't edit anymore, but I wasn't trying to snark on it, just to say that while maybe it's awesome, I'm bummed it's kind of beyond my budget, at least for consuming by the handful. I really just wish one of the cheapo brands were accidentally vegan.

Didn't she post a recipe once that she called "creme eggs" that was like, mango sorbet and vanilla ice cream?

they do, but those dots don't taste like any candy corn i've ever eaten. they sort of remind me of marshmallows.

Products are fine, i'd rather just avoid bringing bloggers here for the wrong reasons. Some of them take it really personally.

Tomato sauce and 'cheese' on a mushroom is not a pizza. It was tasty, but not pizza.

We stayed at a "vegan" b&b (with down comforters, seriously) and the proprietor made us all manner of horrifying breakfasts that she claimed were things like pancakes. But actually they were a flattened pile of buckwheat mush with peanut butter mixed in. I can't remember the other horrifying breakfast. We were so sad. A vegetarian b&b we stayed at once made us "tofu scramble" that was giant super firm cubes of tofu stir fried and served with tamari on the side. Seriously people?

My dream is to one day open a vegan b&b/bakery/cafe (yes, all of them). You can come stay at it when I do.

Both experiences were very sad. Luckily the vegan place had a hot tub and the veg place had an outdoor shower and actually good vegan muffins for snacks. Also at the vegan place we met some constantly drunk climbers and they were fun.

I would stay at poopie b&b.

Hazel, candy corn is sweet and more chewy than anything. If it's old it gets hard but it should be more chewy once you bite into it. Most or all of the candy corn in the US has honey in it (I think). Or some other things that makes it not vegan. I made and sold it for a few years in my etsy shop because it is quite delightful.

Damn it, now I really want some :( Thanks for the explanation!

And anyone who says "make your own" gets a bottle of food coloring chucked at them. So there.

I don't think we get candy corn in Britain, so I've always wondered - what are they like? Chewy? Puffy like popcorn? Hard? Crispy? I NEED TO KNOW! Um, please. :)

they are like the devil, if the devil were made of sugary wax.
