Mrs. Face was way more motivated than I was. I had nurtured a years-and-years-long aversion to caring about things, so I looked at vegetarians with great skepticism and pity. I had never realized how wasteful, cruel, filthy, unhealthy, and unnecessary it all was. I felt like everything I had been told was a lie. Shortly after that, we both went vegan. For me, it started as a way to poke my finger in the eye of the System. "Count me out!" I said. I was sticking it to the man and no longer contributing (so much) to pollution, cruelty, or my own ill health.
And that was how I became interesting. amazing. a massive high-five to you both!
