Me, along with our own maygles, jordanpattern and one other person whose ppk name escapes me are doing the Sanctuary Century this year which is put together by Josh from Herbivore. It's a 100 mile bike ride which raises money for three awesome and needy animal sanctuaries. If you can, please donate here:

http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/T ... entury2012

Another way to support us is by patronizing these awesome businesses on August 11th when they'll be donating 10% of sales to the benefit.

Assuming I can make my schedule work for it (and pull off the required training), the other PPKer is me! Unless there's yet another one, which would also be awesome.

I am still going to donate and do all kinds of shopping on the 11th, though.

Urban Velo - wow!

I'm so stoked for this year's ride! If anyone is thinking of flying in to do the ride (like me), Virgin is having a 72 hour sale (I think there's 50-odd hours left right now), and it appears they fly bikes for free.

I'm doing the 10% benefit with sales from Panda With Cookie.

I think there's another PDX PPKer who is riding as well.

We're helping with the 10% thingy at our store (Rabbit Food Grocery) - all online sales on Aug 11th qualify. We're trying to do a bigger local event that day and have that count, too. Working on that.

So jealous of the cyclists.

BAMPZ

10% Donation day is tomorrow! I hope everyone has their fat pants on!

One of the other riders and I are doing a 50 or 60 mile training ride tomorrow, and then I hope to make it over to Cinnaholic to inhale a couple dozen cinnamon rolls.

I'm definitely getting a new purse from Herbivore, and then i'm going to go ahead and get something for Brian's birthday, and hit up Food Fight! online.

They still need donations to meet their goal. It's never too late to cancel that diamond studded tiara order and give to the Sanctuary Century instead.
