I've been so boring and spiteful lately.

I made the vwav lemon corn waffles a few minutes ago, now I'm sitting here PPKing while husband watches The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

tomorrow morning is my first official shift at the brooklyn superhero supply store, so i'm trying to get myself ready for bed so i can be all bright and shiny for the kiddies. i'm so not sleepy, though. i'm also half-watching reruns of whatever is on tv and telling my kitty how pretty she is.

it's not a job, sadly, just a weekly volunteer shift. nevertheless, your envy is well placed.

Should be packing for our overnight trip tomorrow, instead am PPKing and thinking about dinner.

I did just get back from Target, where I bought a cute scarf & blouse for aforementioned overnighter as well as a little clutch for one of my husband's clients who doesn't understand that you shouldn't walk around with hundreds of dollars in your hands. He's hoping that a super-cute clutch will help.

at school! working on my 3 projects that are due this week. and watching hocus pocus and listening to nerf herder. when I go home I think I will take a bath (I got home at 10am and had a meeting here at 10:30...I want to be cleeeaaaannnn!), have some hot chocolate, make cookies, and do more work. and watch a Halloween-y movie. *sigh* I have an exciting life

Just finished a pile of homework. Gonna put some pumpkin rum in a mug of spiced cider and watch some Daria.

And PPK like crazy.

And catch up on my poem-a-week-for-a-year project, since I've slacked for a few weeks.

PARTAY PARTAY

I was wondering if anyone would start the party thread tonight!

Some friends wanted to watch a movie around 7:45, so I showed up at 8 because I figured by then they would have chosen the movie, and then I could just decide if I wanted to watch that movie or not, rather than joining in the wrangling over what movie to watch phase. They'd chosen Stardust, which I'd never seen, but they convinced me it would be good, so I joined them. Typical mainstream fantasy genre. Lots of cheesy heroic music, lots of sparkly poof spells that turn people into animals, lots of objectification of women...you know, the usual. It wasn't awful, just...you know, two hours of my life I can't get back, but it's not like I was going to do anything terribly constructive with those two hours either.

I'm having some much needed relaxation after a really high energy week. Sitting on the couch, drinking wine, playing video games and snuggling.

Working. Yay me for having to stay awake all night...

I'm currently watching The Addams Family (1991) since I've given up on trying to motivate myself to clean my apartment.

Back from a party, drunk out of my trees, eating peanut noodles, very disappointed by how coherent I am as a drunk.

I went to the grocery store and got some 'Smarties' just in case kids come tomorrow. (I wish they were called Rockets like they are in Canada. I can't get used to calling them Smarties)

Now I'm itching my balls, picking my nose and wondering what to do with the rest of my night.

If Rockets are called Smarties then what are Smarties called?

Ha. My ability to type coherently is one of the last things to go, too, so I feel you.

Its not even my typing skills! At the party, towards the end when I should have been showing my tits or whatever, I was lecturing someone about their heteronormativity. I don't know whether to feel proud or concerned that I'm always on.

An important update on my situation: I now have hot pink hair dye on my head. Yay.
