He doesn't know what to say. There was a CNN article about how he only wrote a victory speech. Sounds about right.

Our local NBC affiliate is reporting that our marriage equality ref is passing 52%-48%. No word on percentage of precincts reporting. Biker boy had texted me about an hour ago with the same numbers but the other way around and scared the pee out of me; I just had the courage to look. Breathing again.

Marijuana legalization is currently up 56%-44%!

I avoided watching TV or checking the news all evening. Tuned into MSNBC a few minutes ago, and watched Rmoney give a concession speech. So happy!

and it looks like the GMO labeling thing isn't going to pass. :-(

Back in February, when the CA district court ruled Prop 8 unconstitutional:

"In an email to P8TT, Jon Davidson, Legal Director of Lambda Legal, had this to say about today’s decision:

I would say that between the Ninth Circuit’s ruling that Prop 8 is unconstitutional, the ruling we obtained yesterday reinstating our New Jersey marriage case, the passage of marriage equality in Washington, the passage of a marriage equality bill through the legislature in New Jersey, and the passage of a marriage equality bill through the Maryland House, this latest victory over DOMA shows that we have passed the tipping point. February 2012 will go down in history as the month marriage equality became unstoppable."

Here's hoping that he was onto something. I do believe that opponents of marriage equality will find themselves on the wrong side of history and that it's just a question of how long it will take. Here's to the snowball effect because no one else should have wait.

It looks like question 6 (gay marriage) passed in Maryland, although it was way too close for comfort (It passed mostly because of Baltimore and Montgomery County.). I was worried for a while there. Question 4 (a super watered-down version of the dream act) also passed, but by a much larger margin. Sometimes I get so isolated in my comfy liberal bubble that I forget about all the conservative counties in western Maryland.

At my university, everyone was cheering every time Obama won another electoral vote. It's nice to be surrounded by that kind of unity. It was a nice moment.

For some reason, I keep wondering how Donald Trump is taking this. I keep seeing his hair blown by chopper winds like a hurricane combover. Why does my mind work this way? Why?

But now that VOTERS have spoken, the rhetoric about activist judges is less compelling. One of the big arguments has been that voters have never passed such a law. Now they need a new argument.

msnbc was updating us pretty regularly on trump's tweety outbursts. they were both the highlight and the lowlight of the evening.

Ugh. My friend's dad on fb, in response to her sister's status update indicating her happiness at Obama being reelected: " I have a funny feeling you will be regretting this "Victory" for the rest of your lives! I'm feeling like the country I love, the country that my father left me, died tonight!" what the fizzle do these people really think is going to happen? Seriously, America died tonight?

Now I'm wondering if Trump tweets his own thoughts or dictates them to an assitant. And if that assistant was insubordinate...well...actually, I don't think they could come up with anything more...interesting...than Trump's unedited rantings.
