It looks like the girl scouts are now labeling the vegan cookies as vegan. Neat! I just saw a photo on twitter (that I'm not linking to because the person was being complainypants about it).

missmuffcake: Wish I'd been there!

I'm currently in a teeny tiny town on the west of Denmark with my dude. He buys veggies at a farm shop which also stocks other products. Like, darkest dark chocolate. And, almond milk. And, soygurt. And, vegan marzipan. And, incredible bath-and-body products which I can't even find in NL. What?! (When can I move in? Ha!)

My coworkers taking me out for a belated birthday trip to an all-vegetarian/mostly vegan restaurant. Even better, my boss said "I could eat this way all the time" halfway through his meal.

I love when people say that! My mom constantly tells me she'd be vegan if i made all her meals. I had an all-vegan Taco Party for my brother as a graduation gift, and one of his friends told me the same thing. Everytime i eat awesome vegan food (which is most of the time) i'm like man, why isn't everyone vegan? It's so tasty!

Last night I went to a restaurant where over half the menu was vegan! I've been before and had something totally, totally crappy so it was an extra relief when everything turned up and was delicious!

canadian thanksgiving was yesterday, so my partner's family had the traditional turkey dinner thing, but besides the turkey, everything else was vegan, even the mashed potatoes (which my father-in-law was very reluctant to use almond milk in, insisting that "it'll taste like almonds!" to which my sister-in-law, my partner, and myself replied simultaneously with, "no, it really won't taste any different!"), and there was even vegan pumpkin pie! so i filled up on roasted vegetable pie, long beans, squash, sweet potato, mashed potato, mushroom gravy, and some kind of mixed bean stew. and pie! i actually asked at the table, "so, what is definitely NOT vegan?" and it was just the turkey and separate gravy. score!

That's awesome, biorobotics! I already asked my mom if we could do the same thing for our Thanksgiving, and she gave me the go ahead! I really want to make some delicious, unique dishes that overpower the "normal" dishes we usually have.
My vegan pet awesome is how much my taste buds have expanded since becoming vegan. I eat so many more foods than i used to. Even my baked goods have turned from chocolate chip cookies (obviously i still make these cos they rock) to coconut-caramel chocolate sandwich cookies. I never used to make indian or asian food or fancy sammichs. Now i rock my kitchen.

My husband says that two of his coworkers are doing some exercise/eating plan where the eating plan is vegan? He asked me if I wanted details and I told him I did. He also asked me for recipe blogs to give the guys so I gave him 3, PPK, Fat Free vegan and Elizavegan. I think that will keep them happy for now.

Went round for dinner at friends' house. The hosts were omnis, three of the guests vegetarian and me as the sole vegan, but the whole meal was vegan and delicious. I offered to make dessert and took pie made with pumpkin cheesecake filling from vpits in the almond press in crust, slightly modified because I didn't have coconut oil, banana or lemon juice, and it still came out wonderfully and the hosts raved about it, even after they knew it had tofu in it! I like my friends.

Dropscone, I love your friends, too! We have a bunch of friends who suggest vegan restaurants when we go out together. It makes me happy.

My friend I live with when I'm in NYC started researching vegan clothing and asking me questions about wool and sheep. Now she's decided to not buy any more wool.

Ho hum, I'm sitting at my desk, when some new clients come in for an appointment, and one of them is wearing an Herbivore hoodie!

I didn't say anything, but maybe if I have the chance when he's on his way out, I'll make the Secret Vegan Gang Sign.

We had date night over the weekend and went out to get Thai food. The gal taking the order was so great. After we ordered the first two dishes vegan, she added the rest as vegan "Because it just made sense".
She also made extra sure that my food had no peanuts.
I seriously love that place for their attention to detail.

I brought in cookies from Capital City Bakery, and like always, everyone at work said they were the best cookies they ever had.

I'm thinking for my dreaded work holiday potluck I might ask her to make some giant cookies and ice vegan all over them because there is no way people won't like these!

Everyone who eats my vegan goodies loves them. I was a sneaky little lady on them, though. I had been sharing my baked goods with them for months before I was vegan, and then I just kept them coming, without saying a word. They learned I was vegan over time, but now they know they already like vegan baking! Mwahahe . .

Oooh, i really like the idea of icing the word "vegan" on goodies! You should do it.
Today i saw a girl i briefly met awhile ago. She asked me to remind her of my name, and told me she remembered me as "that awesome vegan baker." SCORE.

In Philadelphia for a dental meeting. On Halloween. They are all about handing out Goldenberg Peanut Chews here. I got two in my welcome package on arrival to the hotel! They had a whole basket full of them at the registration desk!

Sad news though, I was told Goldberg died a couple weeks ago. :(

Three times this week dad opted for the vegan dinner option over the meaty dinner option, even though the meaty option is one of his favourites. Yay for daiya and yves pepperoni pizza, Chef Chloe Mac and Cheese and refried bean and Mexican rice burritos!

Also tonight hubby told me he prefers the veggie pizza we've been ordering from a local place over dad's meat and cheese version.

Finally, hubby has been on a real kick with the Thai place's hot and sour soup. Though not vegan, he's slowly breaking down his tofu terror.

Randomly finding unfrosted strawberry pop tarts. (These are ok, yes? I've always heard they're ok.) They don't even taste like food, but they're still somehow delicious. I think it's mostly nostalgia.

Not necessarily a vegan pet awesome but an awesome nonetheless: Talking with a co-worker at our Thanksgiving potluck today, she thought the adopt a turkey program through Farm Sanctuary was a great idea and asked me to send her the link so she wouldn't forget. Just got an email saying she adopted Turpentine and was going to hit up other people in her office to do the same.
