If I had finished reading the Host I would probably choose that. But my luck there is some kind of awful crazy at the end that I don't know about it would come back to bite me in the asparagus.
Not on board with the Hunger Games at all! I would die in a minute. None of the zombie options sound good to me either. Mad Max might be ok, but I would probably become a recluse if possible and hunker down somewhere for as long as possible.
I suck at this game!

We could all live in Blade Runner, where we all speak Japanese.

In Blade Runner (and many cyber-punk dystopias), they spoke Cityspeak, which is a mish-mash of languages, including Japanese.

I don't think I would survive very long in Mad Max world, but I had to choose it because of Room 101 in 1984.

I think we're more likely to have an Idiocracy type future and if I had to live in a "worse" future, that would be it. Since my having an avegage or above average IQ would make me the smartest person there and then I could run the place.

I've been training myself in the past few years so that they have nothing to put into my Room 101.
ETA: Actually they still do, but I hope to take care of it in the next 4 years.

I just want to be an anarchist on the moon. Failing that, Mad Max, all the way.

Mad Max. It would be far easier to organize and build toward a more functional and productive social structure from those circumstances.

You know, I really like Humungus' style, I think if he just changed up his attitude a little and wasn't such a dick he would be a cool figure to emulate.

The Biplatrix? a decent effort in a difficult category. i'd have offered a boy and his dogfight and then muttered something about not taking requests.

Futurama - always wanted a robot best friend. And Leela would make an AWESOME co-worker. Not sure if it is a distopia though. Then again, Richard Nixson (his head) is around and he is pretty awful
Blade runner would be pretty awesome
Total Recall (the new one) - I would move in with Colin Farrell and Kate Beckinsale and we would live happily ever after in that tiny apartment. we would never, ever leave ;)
If I had to live in a truly horrible future though, I would pick zombie apocalypse world. I would kick total asparagus. I even have the zombie survival handbook! I'll be ok. Would totally kill any of you if you turned into zombies though. No hard feelings.
(although, to be perfectly honest, I am kind of terrified of nucular war, and often have nightmares-even daymares- about what the world would be like after. I live semi close to LA, so I probably wouldn't die right away, but have to survive while slowly dying of radiation poisioning. Cheery huh?)

I couldn't do a zombie apocalypse because I hate moving and you have to always keep moving in that situation. I think it's the World War Z guy who said "No place is safe, only safer."
How's about Red Dawn? It would be like an extended camping trip. Plus, communists are way less intimidating than zombies. I can digest Karl Marx. Can't say the same about brains.

One of my neighbors mentioned there is a show called 'Doomsday Survivors' or something similar? Anyway, my other neighbor says he is glad we live close enough to DC that we'd be gone in the first hit. We aren't like the West Virginians who are stock piling guns and food, we don't need to worry about any of that :)

Is a Tank Girl option on the table?

I'd prefer a Brave New World type as long as I'm an Alpha or Beta (as long as there's soma), otherwise The Walking Dead type, where I could just hole up somewhere far away and hope no one finds me. Guess that's kind of Mad Max too.

Man, the 1894 option would have been awesome.
