I am the worst at telling if people want to date me or be friends. THE WORST. Aaaah why is everything is so awkward I just want to make out but I don't know how to do that!

I'm incapable of that unless I am suuuuper wasted but she was driving home and had to work in the morning!

My last words to her were (regarding her not being able to find her car and being super embarrassed about it) "Honestly I think you're adorable so I would probably find whatever you do endearing." And then I hugged her and ran away. She she probably knows I have a crush on her at least, and am super awkward.

I never thought I'd be able to be forward, I am definitely a super awkward shy person. But one guy I was interested kept saying how much he loves forward guys, so I decided it would be more worth it for me to (I thought at the time, just with him) become really forward. It ended up feeling so good, and knowing that he liked it made me more confident to do it. Now I do it with lots of guys, and it's been positive responses every time. Some guys still make me too nervous to do it, and sometimes even with ones I've done it before I might clam up at a different time; but damn, I'm working on it, and it's becoming hella fun.

I think if I'm rejected to my face I'll probably cry though?

And she hasn't texted me so maybe I was too forward already and she totally just wants to be friends!

Yeah, being rejected would SUCK, I'm only forward in texting or messaging really, it's definitely more scary in real time.

i've been rejected tons of times after a while it doesn't bother you so much. don't take it personally, doesn't mean that you aren't awesome it's just that the other person doesnt want to date you and that could be because of so many reasons.

i'm really shy when it comes to that kinda stuff as well! always looking away when they give me that kinda look.... maybe it's good though because it helps me take things more slowly, rather than getting physical right away. and strawberry, i think chances are good that these ladies really want to make out with you too. if you want it, do it! jumping in is what dating is all about, right?

I went on an okc date tonight. It was "meh."

Ok, so for the longest I've been scared of identifying as "official" with the special lady friend. I was just not ready, and took it reaaaaaalllly slow. But I'm ready to turn off the OKC. Well I guess I was ready for that weeks ago. But i've also gotten like 3 messages in the last few weeks. aaaaaaaack. She (and random other people reading the situation) has called me her gf and I got a little weirded out but I think I've accepted it. For some reason the semantics involved with feeling like another person might have expectations of me of whatever. I guess I just want to be better at keeping my own identity if I'm involved with someone, so actually starting this way has probably been pretty good. Anyway, I'm pretty dern smitten and its going well except for the 2hrs away thing, and the fact that its caused some tension between the roommie and I (mostly I didn't get an ok for the amt of time she visited because I don't ever see my roommate and we used to be friends but she doesn't even make eye contact anymore so I figured she'd be in her room not leaving whether it was me or me and another person, but apparently I was wrong. but that's for another thread). Its kinda weird though, since its only been like 7 months since my last break up, usually its faaaaar longer in between relationships. I have been at once guarded but less bitter than other times, so I don't know.

But yay! OKC worked again, so far. But I guess its only been 3 months since we got a bit more for reals, even though our first date was the end of July, and she wanted to go camping and stuff back then and I was not ready. But she was patient and I came around :)

Guys, as I said I think I made it relatively clear that I have a super crush on that girl I've gone on two dates with right before we parted ways, aaaand she hasn't texted me since then. So, cool. Ugh. She's so cute and smart and funny!

Ok guys, I texted her about how Ke$ha is apparently something other than straight because we both love Ke$ha (and aren't straight).

And now we're texting about Ke$ha but I still have no idea if she likes me.

Just drop in a "so, hey, i'm crushing on you. is it mutual, or are we just friends?"

That's what I do in situations like that. But, then again, I"m single, so take that with a grain of salt.

Can we use this thread for non-internetz relationship stuff? I need advice but I'd rather it get buried quickly in several other pages of stuff. I want to break up with my partner, but how? The thing is, I don't think they're that into it anymore either. I feel like I'm always the one to text or call when we see each other. When the problems first became obvious, I was blaming it on stress from school/upcoming finals (we've been together 7 months, problems started in mid/late October). but finals are over now and they still don't seem any happier to see me. So I don't think they'd be devastated but what do I say?

joyful - Are you interested in the relationship ? I mean if the other party was more enthusiastic, would you want it to continue?

If the answer is no, have a discussion with them and say 'hey, I just don't think our relationship is working out, you are a great person, blah blah blah', you know?

If the answer is yes, you might try to have a discussion with them about what they think of the relationship and your concerns.

Thank linanil, it's pretty much a no at this point. Maybe I'd be okay with continuing through the end of the month, but definitely not for the next semester.
