This means that there really are like a million reasons to move to Portland by now.
(This makes me sounds like that bloke from Love Actually, who moves to America for the girls.)

I think some of them (especially my ex) would notice. They pretty much live on Tumblr and I've seen at least one of them post some sort of when-I-lose-a-follower reaction GIF. I'm just concerned they'll notice and ask about it (probably assuming it's a mistake) and I don't want to go into my reasons with them, though I know I don't owe them an explanation. I should just do it anyway and see. It could just be ignored. Or maybe they'll just assume I don't like them. either way it's fine.

Has anyone tried Match? I know you can't tell if people are members because I have a profile and keep getting emails that someone chose me, whatever that means. But there might be some different guys there than on OKC which could be good.

I was on match for a sum total of less than two months. I liked it just fine and only stopped using it because I met my sweetie (on match.) I haven't used any other online dating, though, so I can't compare. There were tons of people in my age range and area but some others here have complained that the match pickings were slim for them, so your mileage may vary.

I joined OKC after splitting up with my GF in Portland (who forking sucks and who I just finally told off for all her crazy bullshiitake). My experiences so far have been ...interesting. I think I met a couple good friends who I'd never have met who are into the same movies and music I'm into. So I guess this whole online world works in some way or another. It's a cold lonely existence, and while getting laid is great and all, finding someone to cuddle up with to watch an obscenely disgusting horror movies is even more great.

...is killing me right now.
Went from very happily seeing two people for about a month and then (within a week of each other) one dropped off the face of the earth with no real explanation and the other dropped a relationship ultimatum on me.
Back to sad and single!
I can't even OKC right now, disabled my account.

Yeah the dropping off the face of the earth thing happened to me way too many times. Relationship ultimatum though?! That seems pretty nuts for how soon it's been!

way to go for not going for the ultimatum!
yeah, one of the things i resent about the online dating thing is how easy (and almost expected/ acceptable?) it is for someone to drop off the face of the earth.

I HATE it when people disappear. I need closure! And this wasn't one date, this was seeing each other every week for a month. Who does that? Mars, the ultimatum would sound even more nuts if you knew the specifics. Dude was way intense.
So now there are two less vegans in town I can date. Boo.

Some guy who I talked to online maybe 6 months ago texted me today "single?". When we were talking online he was on of those flaky types hesitant to get anything going and then I was already involved with someone else. I find it interesting he still texts me every now and then, if it was me I would probably have forgotten about me if that much time had gone by and we had never met in meat space.

I got to maybe meeting this bloke, because he seemed nice. I suggested us getting a coffee one of these days, which he refused because he "knows within 10 sec. whether it'll be worth it" and didn't want to make the commitment. Yep.
