If you're both adults and you find each other attractive and enjoyable to be around, it seems silly to let age alone interfere with that. I mean, maybe your age difference would result in some fundamental incompatibilities, but maybe not. And you'll never know unless you set aside the number in favor of getting to know the person.

Frankly, allularpunk, your argument was the one that convinced me.

Just to add my two penn'orth to the argument, the age difference is nowhere near as important as whether you are compatible as people. I went out with a guy who was 13 years younger than me, and it didn't work out in the end, but that had very little to do with the age difference. My sister is married to a chap 15 years older than her and it works swimmingly. You won't know till you try.

My current crush is 40, too! But I'm 34.

And my ex is 42. So, yeah, the 40s are hot!

One of my crushes is on a 42 year old guy. But I'm 34, so its not as drastic as y'all in your 20's. But, yea, I can agree:
40's = hott.

Well that's reassuring from you young 'uns with my birthday coming up. I am in the second half of my 40's though.

I've recently joined OkCupid, and was wondering if anyone else gets unreasonably annoyed at the number of 'mostly vegetarian' people who come up?

You know what's shiitake about living somewhere rural? It's hard to have grindr sex when you are too drunk to drive but still sober enough to talk a good talk.

Obviously just drink more, pass out, wake up in your own urine. Repeat as necessary.

I met up with the nerdy librarian today and we spent 4 really fun and engaging hours together. I'm kind of hung up on his age (he's 10 years younger than me), but we will be great friends, at the very least. So, success!

I suck at OKC details. I am allergic to cats. Everyone I'm talking to has cats! Aja gjdfsjfjstg s.

I have an OKC account. I'm sort of dating this one guy (but I think I'll have to end it soon). Last week, someone I met at Farm Sanctuary's hoedown found me on there. I remember that he was cute and friendly. We're meeting up tomorrow! Woot!

is it a monogamous thing? because you really owe it to him (and yourself, and the new guy) to end things before starting something new..

Yeah, I'm gonna talk to the guy today. But, we're just dating, not monogamous.

So this apparently straight guy has sent me a message saying that my pics make him hot and he wants us to bang. I'm taking it all with a pinch of salt, and if push comes to shove it would be some crazy awkward sex, but this is literally a porno come true so what the fork have I got to lose?

Also, I've noticed that as I have blond hair and blue eyes, I am apparently a fetish. It's kind of... not flattering.

I decided to take a break from OKC now that I am back from Chicago, but lordy. I will say that the next time I reactivate by account, I will be more wary of the pictures people post. One guy didn't look anything like his pics and the other had really far away shots and had really bad teeth. I'm going to screen the crepe out of people next time.

Lutin- I really wish they had an "allergic" thing for animals, instead of likes, has or dislikes. I don't hate cats! My immune system does.

I have to say though, getting immunotherapy allergy shots has been the best possible decision I could have made in my life. Seriously. It made it possible to just talk to people on OKC (in real life) and not worry about it.

If my allergies continue to be so out of control, it will have to be like that for me, too. (Stupid parasites! I was allergy-free before I got giardia.)

In better news -- I talked to a cat-free OKC dude whom I've been messaging for awhile. And I am smitten. I am so, so, so smitten.
