Don't you just love the interwebs and its obsession with cats? I'm thinking that image would make a pretty sweet holiday card.

We celebrated christmas today because we're flying out to Canada from the 21st - the 27th. It was so much fun!! My 2 year old was so excited by his presents, and we've been having a grand time playing with them all day.
Here's our tree last night all set up for the morning:

My three year old nephew sang Little Donkey for me today. It made me cry.

I got a tree today!!! There weren't many trees left on the lot, but I managed to find one without too many bald spots. And they had free hot cider! The dog has been good about leaving the tree alone so far, but I only put the lights on today. I'm sure the ornaments will be a much bigger temptation!

This weekend was all about Christmas - I made beanballs and sausages for the Christmas buffet, and some coconut caramels and chocolate toffees. And today I wrapped the presents, they're all done! I want to put up our decorations, but really all the necessary stuff is done (we're going away for Christmas).

Hee!
This is a bit rude, but nothing that you'll get fired over, at least more than if you were caught watching youtube videos on the PPK in the first place.
Got all my Christmas presents sorted (except wine and beer for my cousin's family, which I can buy later). The atmosphere in town was really nice (instead of crowded and stressed like I feared), with brass bands and an accordionist busking, lots of people at shops and the market wishing me a Merry Christmas.
I decided not to put my big tree up because it'd be too much hassle - the front room is a terrible mess and I'd have to tidy that before putting my tree in the window, but instead I found a tiny sparkly tree my housemate left behind in the basement, it's only about 7" tall, so I've put that and a string of baubles in the window but with the curtains drawn behind them, and I'm going to go back into town to get a short string of fairy-lights and add that around the frame.
ETA: Wow, that's quite skillful deployment of lights, Gulliver!

I wish it was real! It was meant to be in Brighton & some people went out to check & it's fake!
I, well, Nick has done all of our Xmas shopping (food & gifts) and is currently wrapping stuff & watching Gossip Girl. I feel bad that his stocking's going to be a bit crepe because I've had the flu & haven't been able to buy some of the stuff I'd planned.
Hehe, I did wonder if it was fake! Still amusing though.
I went to Majestic Wine just now and bought 6 assorted bottles. They don't have a huge amount marked vegan, but it's nice to see star ratings and tasting notes, and the guy who served me was really helpful and friendly. That's my cousin sorted (a bottle of prosecco), plus Christmas dinner with my folks (organic red), plus 4 bottles for me/emergency gifts!

I got my girlfriend socks and some sims expansions and shark footie pajamas with sharks for feet.

My boyfriend got me a set of Doctor Who themed vegan chapsticks and two of those fancy lenses for your iphone camera so I can take pretty pictures because he wants me to start blogging again. He's basically the best. He also got me a tiny dinosaur figurine, which I have named Stewart.

OMG OMG OMG it's here! My mom and I went to my uncle's house first this morning and we exchanged our joke stockings. I got Abraham Lincoln band-aids and praying mantis life cycle stages figurines. File those under "things I never knew I wanted". Now I'm waiting for my mom to get back so we can open our presents here. The dogs are so excited!
Also! I found a televised yule log on the gmc channel, so I can pretend we have a fireplace!
