Choirqueer and I both had a few days free last week, so we decided to go on a little road trip to Portland (no, not that one. the awesomer one that contains Boober) and Boston and meet up a bunch of PPKers while we were at it. It was absolutely fabulous.

We started our adventure in Westchester, NY and kicked it off with dim sum. We were too excited and ate everything before taking pictures, so we just got a picture of the plates. oops!

We needed snacks for the road, of course.

Portland! We went to Boobers and then went out to dinner at Silly's.
We had Buffalo tofu

and because we're internet vegans, we have to take pictures of our food, so I also took a picture of boober (isn't she totes adorable??) taking a picture of our food:

CQ has a magical ability to make food appear when he goes to the bathroom. I got a magical beast called the Zombie burger and boober got a falafel burger. CQ's food (which I didn't get a picture of) was sort of like pad thai in a fried wonton wrapper.

And LOOK AT OUR DESSERT!! The inside is chocolate cake, chocolate frosting, and ice cream! woahmygod

Back at boober's, we slipped into a sugar-induced delirium filled with Call Me a Hole (Call Me Maybe and Head Like a Hole mash-up), Come Closer Together (Come Together mashed up with Closer), and Dawson Creek's new theme song (on Netflix).
This was my stunned and amazed reaction to hearing Call Me a Hole for the first time:

And since it was pi(e) day when we left, CQ and I brought pizza (from Long Island's 3 Brother's Pizza Cafe) and mini pot pies (that I made). We had both the next morning for breakfast before we left.

On to Boston! We met up with some lovely PPKers at Middle East for drinks and then we moved on to Veggie Galaxy for dinner:

For dessert, we got a whole bunch of everything and shared it all. faaaantastic!

CQ had a deep emotional reaction to the deliciousness of the lemon meringue pie.


Meeting PPKers IRL never gets old! Everyone was so nice and wonderful and we feel like old friends. It's magical. So much love for you all <3 <3 <3 Also, can we just talk about how adorable our Jonah Hill look-a-like waiter was? And everyone at Veggie Galaxy? And how delicious the food was? It was so good we came back for brunch on Saturday morning.

the tickets are not purchased yet but it will probably be the month of july (all month). We stay in western NJ, but my gram's in urban NJ, my brother's in CT, and the rest are just barely upstate (Orange cty) so we will be in your hood at some point! (hopefully philly too) I promise I will publicize when i have dates.

/derail, sorry. i do have to say that veggie galaxy looks worth the trip, though. i haven't had a reuben sandwich since providence, the day i pierced my belly, 100000 years ago.
