I would love to open a Spanish conversation thread somewhere because I really need to practise my Spanish and am too lazy for a pen pal, I guess... what do you guys think? Anybody interested at all? Or do you hate the idea, mods?

Obnoxious translation because the tone has not yet been set and I don't want to feel like a putz (with bonus laugh at my terrible Spanish!): I don't know how a thread like that would work, but I would participate! My Spanish has gone to shiitake since my siblings started to learn english (I was trying not to sabotage their progress...) and I finished my minor. I have serious issues with grammar and use, which is embarrassing, but I'll try! I know there are other Spanish-speaking folks around, and I think at least one native speaker?
I probably wouldn't be the most helpful person in such a thread, because I'm a notorious lurker and my Spanish is sort of crepe, but I will make an effort if other people are interested, it's something I don't want to continue to lose! We would have to have a Spanish-speaking mod, ha, to keep us from being jerks en español, but something tells me someone probably speaks Spanish.

I'd be in! I've been meaning to pull my rusting Spanish out for a practice! I used to know it fairly well, but I stopped going to university where I had been continuing to study it, and now live in an area with few speakers.

I would like to practice as well! Although my Spanish is perpetually rusty.

Great idea. Now I have to figure out how to type the accents though. My Spanish still needs improvement but this could be fun.

UU.
