2012 was mostly good for me! I got engaged, moved to Portland, finished step 1 of a really big project that I hope to see come to fruition in 2013, my fiancee was promoted, and I discovered my love for hiking and yoga.
But there was one really bad thing that painted a dark cloud over my entire year and that was my terrible job which I worked at for 8 months before I was fired in November. That job caused me so much stress, anxiety, and depression that it's hard for me to remember 2012 fondly, even though I know that besides the job it was a good year.
Anyway, here's to 2013. I have a few good-looking jobs who said they would contact me after the new year, so fingers crossed!

2012 was so mixed for me. I wrote a big blog piece about it. It's long so if you get bored just enjoy the animated gifs. It's sort of like those family newletters some people send out during the holiday season.....except I'm not boasting about too many achievements and it's mostly about me. Whatever, I can direct people to it if they need an update. http://endearingerraticism.tumblr.com/post/39459303119/2012Had some epic highs and epic lows. I learned a lot.

2012 was 50% wonderful and 50% hell on earth (for me and some of the people I love the very most)
it can fork right the hell off imo.

I'll be finalizing my divorce in 2013, which is tramatizing as well as exciting. I know it's going to be full of really crappy parts, probably some of the worst moments of my life. But it also has the potential to be a year full of healing and new beginnings (at least that's how I'm trying to look at it.)
I wish I could just fast forward to 2014. I'm sure I'll have my act together by then.

I had a really hard, but ultimately good year. I failed and passed the CA Bar exam, and did porn. I'm still struggling to get over my ex from well over a year ago, and of course, have self-destructive tendencies.

Well, 2012 had a break up for me, but like, most of them do. I guess 2011 didn't, since my first date with my last gf was NYE and we made it over a year and were pretty happy for that whole year. Buuuut she broke up with me this year. She seems to regret it now, but tough beans, I guess. I feel a bit sad though, she is a great person, but can't really meet my affection needs anyway. I met a great new person though, so woohoo!

That job caused me so much stress, anxiety, and depression that it's hard for me to remember 2012 fondly, even though I know that besides the job it was a good year. Almost exactly this. A lot of cool stuff happened for me- I started the year overseas and travelled around a bit, I lost a heap of weight and got healthy, I got over my fear of driving and got my license, I went to two weddings (of people who are super important to me), I saw my two favourite bands that I never thought I would get to see live, I got another dog who is the best ever, and I moved to a much nicer house. But from April until now, I've been in a job that makes me pretty consistently miserable. I applied for a ton of jobs that are more closely related to what I want to do, and got nowhere. It was super frustrating, stressful and depressing. I ended up getting offered another job that I'll start in a couple of weeks- it's still not in the field I want to be in, but the work is really interesting, it'll be good experience and the manager seems awesome. 2013 is looking much better for me on the job front! I think it'll go a long way towards making this year seem like a happier, more successful one.

Nope. Depression, a dip in the relationship and a job that just forked things up even more. 2012 kan dra åt helvete!
(it didn't feel appropriate to write such harsh words in the language most of us understands)

Yay for 2013, with more yoga, relaxation, creation and appreciation!

Every year I say "fork 20(insert year)" because it SUCKED.
EVERY YEAR I SAY THIS.
It's like on the movie Office Space. Every year sucks worse than the previous. So in essence, every year is the worst year of my life.
Blah. Maybe this year will be better. Of course, I say that every year too.
