My new gynaecologist is showing up on my gaydar. He's anti-sterilization. "It's not being done so that you can change your mind and become a mother."

Do vaginas that exist for mere fun cause distress in gay guys? (Or is it just that his employer, the state, needs new consumers to save the economy?)

At least, I believe, my gynaecologist distinguishes between a vagina and a vulva, unlike some gays in that video (and, sadly, many women).

I find it unlikely that all of the answers given sprung from the single question. Even if they did *all* decide to go into the level of detail, such as it is, I would venture to say that most gay men don't find themselves frequently thinking about women sexually. This is a far cry from thinking that a vagina's sole use is procreation. It is several steps further to make the equation: anti-sterilization=gay.

I actually told my gynaecologist that it's not fair that if I were a man with a uterus, I would be able to get a hysterectomy, but because I'm a woman, I can't.



I don't equate it. I know many gays who are completely pro-choice. I'm just wondering about the causes of my gynaecologist's anti-sterilization stance.

That was the best part. Although if you asked 18 your old girls about vaginas or even a bit younger, you'd probably get some confusing answers as well.

I've never had to wonder because some of the gay men in my life are pretty vocal about their disgust for female bodies :/

Yeah, I've had some gay dudes make outwardly rude comments about my body/sex organs! Which is silly. All bodies are great, regardless of whether you want to sex them up.

I think that's from being taught that seeing other dudes naked is 'icky' or 'wrong' at a young age, they just flip it around to 'whoever has body parts with which I do not attract to is icky'.

I went to a hacker con with my brother once and stayed in a room with mostly gay dudes, one of the straight guys was looking at a titty magazine and one of the gay guys walked by and let out a long 'ewwwww' over seeing boobs and the straight guy put his magazine down and gave him a lecture about how rude that was and he manages to contain his 'disgust' if he sees another penis.

If we could all just admit that all genitals are strange, hairy, gross, smelly things. We should all feel the same shame!
