I'm eating it right now! It's really good, and the man in front of me ordered it too! I'm just really stoked to see a regular omni restaurant not only offering tofu, but offering tofu that's not just unseasoned squishy blobs.

Just caught this thread right after I posted my own topic.

Sure seems like a lot of Chipotle news in the Foyer.

You west coasters are making me jealous. I always have to tell them lots of beans because they never put enough stuff in my burrito when I don't, so two beans and tofu would make for a pretty big burrito!

I have spent way too much money at Chipotle the last month. Now, of course, I have to go again soon to see if mine has pork-less pinto beans. (Brian, I am doing my best to convince them that the tofu is a hit... hopefully they'll expand it nationwide soon!)

I'm trying to do my part... I've emailed them to let them know they need to bring it my local chipotle. Amazingly, to me anyway, I received a personalized email back in about 10 minutes and they indicated they were working on it. Hope!

I got to try sofritos when I was out in Oregon and it was so delicious! I hope it makes it all the way to the East coast soon!

I wonder if at this point the slow rollout is more about production than consumer reception? It seems that most people are digging it. C'mon Chipotle!

I had no idea that it had moved east so quickly. Just randomly went to chipotle today for lunch and my coworker pointed out a huge sign to me that was advertising the sofritos. If she hadn't said anything I would have been clueless!

We went to a Chipotle after Brian's half marathon a few weeks ago and they had the sofritas on the sign...but didn't have them. And two people said 'it's not even supposed to be on the sign'. Okay? Did your manager force you to hang a new menu for an item you aren't even making yet?

Yeah but like two days afterwards, people who went to that Chipotle were getting sofritas. So I guess they hung the sign like a day too early.

Still, you don't go tugging at people's heartstrings like that.

I've heard from people that they have seen these in Maryland.

My town doesn't have Chipotle at ALL, but I was recently in my hometown and stopped at their Chipotle. Sofritas. Are. AMAZING. They're so chewy and spicy- nothing like typical tofu fillings. For once, I'm sad that we only have Qdoba where I live. :/

OK, in the interest of science I sought out and consumed a sofritas bowl today. Oh my goodness. Super yum!

I had a sofritas bowl for dinner tonight. Yummy! I'm annoyed that guac isn't included like the veggie bowl and you have to pay extra for it. Still, it's a tasty option, and I hope it sticks around.

I had the sofritas at Chipotle in Towson, MD! Apparently it's at all the Chipotles around Baltimore. My dad got it in Frederick, MD also.

I had sofritas today for the third time. Except this time there was a big chunk of steak in my burrito. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to eat the rest of my food.

We had it today while we were in Virginia. I didn't find it spicy hot, it kind of reminded me of soyrizo. It is good.

I'm sad that I found it way too spicy for me, so I won't order it again. The texture is great, and the flavor is great, just that I hate that whole "mouth on fire and dead taste buds" thing that kicks in after the second or third bite.

This is what I don't understand about spicy hot food-how do you taste anything? I guess it doesn't overwhelm everybody's taste buds.
