The Chipotle website seems to mention tofu option only on the special diets page, not the menu. The only branches in UK are in London anyway, so I'm unlikely to visit any time soon.

Moe's pinto beans are vegan? This is very exciting for me. I like that they have mushrooms too.

blondiefk: Yup! I always get both kinds of beans AND tofu when I go to Moes. Although, if you ever go to the Moes in Colonie on Wolf Rd, don't. Every time I've gone in there the employees have been some of the most miserable people ever.

Yeah, here is a .pdf of their allergen/vegetarian brochure:

http://bm-moes.s3.amazonaws.com/pdf/201 ... -15-11.pdf

And on the allergens page it says the guac is dairy-free, so that's vegan! I wish we had a Moe's here, I like Chiptole but Moe's offers a little more variety.

There's one on Altamont Ave. in the same plaza that the Hannaford's I go to is but I've only been to the one in Penn Station in NYC.

The Sofritos are here in Orange County CA! For about a month now. They are delicious. Even tofu skeptical people I know have told me they are good. I see people Sampling them in store, going 'yum!' And ordering.

Anecdotal, but from what I can see, this is lookin good. Also, they will still let you put the veggies on top, for no extra charge, which is good, because I think it needs texture.

i got a few BOGo coupons from Chipotle - it makes me feel less bad about going every Sunday instead of cooking!

I've never been to Chipotle, but I hope these go nationwide. They sound great.

I'm not a Moe's fan at all, but I love me some Chipotle.

I know someone said Moe's was expensive but I just got a burrito with guacamole, tofu, beans and a ton of veggies and a medium drink for $7.50. That's cheaper than Chipotle up here.

Looks like Chipotle is officially expanding the sofritas beyond California and into the Pacific Northwest... I really hope they mean the WHOLE PNW, not just Seattle and Portland.

I don't even really know what a sofrito is and I'm excited to try them!

I had this in Seattle yesterday! Not bad, good flavor, buuuuutttttt I'd much rather go with the regular vegetarian burrito bowl so I can have my complementary guac. Because guac kind of makes the bowl. But I am excited to have more options! Chipolte has a taco option, don't they? I think this would be awesome in a taco, so I'll have to try it that way next!

I tried it a few weeks ago. I can't eat cilantro, so it's nice to be able to add another thing to my burrito, but it will probably always just be travel food for me.

This is how I felt. It was good and all, but I'd rather have free guac.

I am SO BUMMED at the lack of free guac.

Because the sofritas with guac is REALLY GOOD. Not quite good enough to sway me from my favorite SF burrito options, but on the other hand, all of those are pretty far out of my way, whereas getting to Chipotle is stupid easy, and I really dig the sofritas. The guac makes it a genuinely satisfying and happy-making meal.

I think we need to start complaining to them. We really ought to be able to exchange sour cream for guac at no charge, because we're giving up the sour cream! Rawr!

I recently found out that we're getting a Chipotle in my town! I'm wondering if we'll get the sofritas or not. I'm veering to the side of 'no way, this is WV', but then again it will be located just 2 blocks from the second biggest university in the state and the TCBY 30 minutes away does have the vegan froyo. Hm.

Omni boyfriend liked his tofu burrito enough to Instagram it, something he usually reserves for giant slabs of salmon. Yuck. Anyway, he said it was actually great! It's not like I'm going to be seeking out a Chipotle over the amazing options we have here in Portland, but I can see this being a big deal for me when I'm on the road racing and NEED ALL THE CALORIES when I am done.

It's just so forking salty. All the food at Chipotle is salty, but the tofu is almost inedible to me. I tried it once and have gone back to the regular beans + guac bowl.
