Hey PPK family!
I'm trying to get into the more meaningful work force and have been an interviewing machine. I got a callback from the local health department as a Disease Intervention Specialist. If I make it past this second interview and am offered the job, I'll be responsible for testing, reporting, partner notification, and so much more around the realm of HIV/STD. Prior to becoming a mommy I worked as a Health Educator for kids in the juvenile detention system, so I have experience.
What I want and need from y'all is are there any PPKers out there who are already DISs? Do you know someone who is? Do they like their job? What don't they like about their job? What is your knowledge about HIV/STD laws? Any information you can share with me will help me tofu-up for the interview. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. The first interview was kind of rough--I can't imagine what they have in store for me for round 2.
