Look, I get it, I support mothers breastfeeding in public too, whether they cover up or not, but I actually have boobs that are just for me. Giving them to a baby would be weird.

Not to mention, if you're making the point about breasts having evolved primarily for feeding infants and not to be sexualized, maybe use a more grown-up word than "boobs."

Haha, hilarious!

Gah, kids are so creepy! When my younger cousin was very small, she asked her mom one day when they were in the car what town they were in. My aunt told her, and my cousin said, "Oh! I used to live here!" And she accurately named the bordering towns. My aunt told her no, they had never lived there. My cousin said, "Yes I did. I lived here before." And then went on to explain, in detail, that she had lived in that town when she was a man who built houses for a living. She was so serious about it! It freaked out the whole family.

All this stuff is terrifying. One more reason not to trust kids.

I'd really love to add to the boob-love that's going on, but this is truly a time where english not being my primary language shows it's ugly face!

MELONS (in the name of all uneducated frat boys ever). My favorite replacement for bras is over the shoulder boulder holder, mostly because it rhymes.

And now, an essay arguing that people without children, i.e. "childless people" should pay higher taxes to support people with children:

"Even when we compare a nonparent and a parent who are working exactly the same hours and earning exactly the same income, the nonparent has a clear leg up. Most obviously, the nonparent has far more disposable income to play with, which she can save, to become much richer than her parent counterpart over time, or spend, to travel to exotic locales, to eat out constantly, to wear awesome clothes, or to live as I do in a conveniently located shoebox in a great American metropolis. Raising taxes on nonparents could even the score a bit, tilting the balance ever so slightly in favor of those who toil on behalf of America’s future workforce by wiping their butts and painstakingly removing their head lice."

In the US, parents do get tax deductions for having kids. How about we lower property taxes for non parents since those help pay for schools? Not a real suggestion but non parents already pay higher income taxes and pay other taxes that benefit parents.

I have three cats and two dogs, and a mortgage. Just because I don't have kids doesn't mean I have a bunch of money to spend on hookers and blow. I have to choose between hookers OR blow. :(

I always find it funny that people who make that argument assume that the child is going to somehow contribute positively (generally economically) to society and therefore the parents deserve a some benefit (which as linanil point as out they already get). What if your child ends up a net cost to society? Do we send the parents a bill? Take it out of their estates?

Eta:: you can always choose to blow hookers MBM.
