I just started reading this and I want to know if the info on nutrition (from 2000) is still considered accurate in 2013? I am sure the stats are slightly different which is fine but have any big changes I should know about taking place since its inception. Thanks, J

Read "vegan for life" instead if you're worried about updated recommendations. Much has changed in the past decade in vegan nutritional advice.

I loved Becoming Vegan so much, and found it a much more compelling read than Vegan For Life, which I couldn't force myself to finish reading. I understand, through the grapevine that they will be coming out with an updated version, which I am eagerly anticipating. I think the nutritional facts probably are outdated by now.

Authors are Brenda Davis and V. Melina.

I will keep an eye out for Vegan for Life. I will read Becoming Vegan but confirm any nutritional changes I make with a more modern source.

Thanks all for the input.

I think that's the Vegan Sourcebook- by Joanne Stepaniak? She was a pioneer vegan cookbook author, I think she also still moderates this forum on VegSource where I used to go a looong time ago. She seems like a really nice lady!

I am picturing some Kerouacesque memoir of the your early vegan adventures....sounds pretty good.
