Ok PPK, I have a question.
I am thinking of putting together a book proposal for a book of vegan doughnuts, using my experience in my parents bakery.
There will be some trad doughnuts, plus doughnuts based on cocktails (think Cosmo doughnuts) and savoury doughnuts (pizza, falafel).
Would the PPK be interested in such a project?
Thanks
Mat.

Pizza doughnuts would probably be the cause of my untimely but glamorous death. Mmmmmm.

I never thought anyone would have to ask if the PPK would be interested in a vegan doughnut book. That seems like such a given to me.
In other words, yes plz.

Absolutely yes! I love making doughnuts but I only have one tried-and-true basic recipe.

As long as it assumed the reader has never made a donut before. I would love to make vegan donuts! Especially eggnog cake donuts!!! They used to have those at a bakery I worked in during high school. They had vanilla rum icing and green and red sprinkles and I miss them dearly.

They were called "Pizza Bagels" even though it wasn't really a bagel because it was more like a soft squooshy roll with tomato and cheese on it. I guess it wasn't deep fried though, just baked. They had something really similar in Chicago called tomato bread, and they were vegan. It was basically a squooshy awesome americanized foccacia or something. omnomnom. miss those.

Mat. Are you asking if we would buy the book, or are you asking if we would contribute to the book? Obviously the answer to either question is YES times 1083801347314.

Yes!! But, I'd only buy if it had a mixture of easy baked and the more labor and time intensive yeasted/fried recipes. A lot of people have donut pans or those little donut makers.

Yes. As long as there's a mock Krispy Kreme glazed original recipe.

Yes, please! I'd love to see a mix of baked and .. not-baked donuts. I have no idea how to make not-baked donuts. Also, pizza donuts sound amazing.

Yes! Also, in the savory donut category, don't forget Indian lentil-based vada...kinda different seasoning from a falafel donut. Cocktail donuts sound like a great idea, too. And yes to quark's request for a Krispy Kreme glazed donut recipe.
You can do for donuts what Isa did for cupcakes.
