I love that the skit never got mean about vegans and didn't end with the Tofu JT eating a salami. Pretty awesome!

this whole thing made me so happy. i love it every time JT does these "bring it on down to ____" skits, and i think he's kind of endearingly hilarious no matter what. the fact that it's vegan made my day. <3 and also, the stuff isa said.

That was soooo great! And Stephan was on fire last night, too. So good. If you don't think it's funny, that's fine. Don't try to hard, but um don't crepe all over my happiness!

Yeah, seriously! I find it a little insulting that it was called "stupid humor" or whatever- er, some people like that humor so maybe not say stuff like that? And if you want to find American comedy shows, poke around in the living room instead of hijacking a thread for something totally different? I'm super excited to see veganism mentioned without people making fun of it.

My apologies. In my defense I wasn't referring to SNL or this sketch, just my feelings about the way things are in general. I'll be more mindful with my word choice in the future.

There's no backstory. It's just a sketch they've done a bunch when he hosts. It was a hit, so they usually bring it back when he's on the show.

The cartoon hands and feet totally kill me, especially with his moves during the first song. Totally laughed my butt off!

JT SNL's are my absolute favorite ones since the Farley/Sandler years. Also, it just solidifies him as my free pass (the wife's is Jessica Biel, so we'll just go for a groupon when the time comes).

I haven't watched SNL in years, but every time JT is on, there's inevitably something wonderful floating around the internets the next day. And yesterday a few friends on fb were posting Hulu's list of JT's best moments on SNL, so I figured I'd watch it and I'm so glad I did! I totally loved this skit!

It was bit cringey but I laughed at a couple of bits and I do love me some JT!
Was it SNL that had the JT & Paul Rudd single ladies video? That was the best thing ever. "We're the dancers!"
