YES. Good god. Those pictures of snow make me want to die. Also, they make me cold. I'll concede that the very first snow is pretty, but then I want it to melt immediately and never come back. All of you who are envious of snow, just imagine getting up an hour earlier in the morning so you can shovel yourself out of your driveway and get to work. It's not all sledding and snow angels!

I totally agree with this! There is no time for sledding and snow angels because you are too busy shoveling and driving an extra hour or two a day in awful conditions!
I switch back and forth between being a snow lover and hater. I went to a Christmas festival last night that would not have been the same without snow! I also love watching the puppies play in it. For practical reasons I could do without it though, days are short enough already without having to commute for a stressful two hours extra each day.

We have a ton of snow and it has been snowing daily for the last week with 3 or 4 more days to go...

No, I'm not ready for it yet! I like snow. It's pretty and usually fun when the first snow falls, but all it did last winter was snow, and I'm still recovering from all the shoveling I did last year.

I've never had a White Christmas, and the few times I have seen snow, it's been muddied and icky. D:

It's been lightly snowing off and on (mostly on) for three days now. I'll post a pic either tonight or tomorrow.

This. Snow makes me hate having a job I'm required to be at, no matter what. And even less thrilled when I can't leave work after my shift has ended because others can't make it in. I'll pass on the snow this year, thanks.

Ok, guys, I'm in tears here. I moved to SF area and my first and last snow for the season was in Granby/ Fraser, Colorado last month as I came through on the train.
Almost 2 feet fell overnight, and the train stoppped for a short break.
I got to play in it so briefly.
The rest of the snow (Salt Lake, Elko) was only observed.

For all those who are going to say, out of kindness, just go to the Sierras, it is NOT the same.
Snow is about dawdling at your desk, watching, or waiting for it to fall, that holy silence when almost every sound is swallowed, but some, like train whistles, travel farther.
It's about walking to the train in snowboots and thick mittens, grasping a hot drink.

I miss winter with snow.
And the slivery grey of the sky here, coupled with the moisture has my body in "oh boy, snow" mode. Yet it only rains.

aw. snow soundlessness. i forgot about that. it makes snow more magic. even more jealous now.

we had our first snow/... hail storm yesterday? it was weird and over in like 5 minutes.

i love snow. i am lucky to live in a city that keeps plugging away no matter how much snow there is, so the best solution is to leave my car parked on the street and take the bus everywhere.

yeah. there are all sorts of cute wall-e sized snowmobiles in denmark. they keep the streets (all 3 of them: one each for cars, pedestrians and bikes) clean. it can be an issue if you want to leave very early = before 7, but otherwise? wonderful. i thoroughly enjoy them & the snow & the woods & the cocoa or chai i get to drink while watching them zoom around.

I wish this country was as equipped to deal with snow as some of you guys' places are. Every forking year it's like, 'zomg! Snow! we were not expecting this situation! What the hell do we do now?!?!'... cue transport grinding to a halt/people falling over in the street/general panic all round. Sigh.

Wow, that's gorgeous. We've got a bit of snow today, but I'm guessing more of it'll stick by morning.

I'm on the "no snow, please" side, and just knowing that it's snowing so close to my place freaks me out. But then, if it's gonna be really cold it might as well look pretty. And to think I wanted to relocate to Sweden when I was younger! Crazy talk!
