There is no such thing as "vegan for too long", but there is no denying that I can relate to most of these:

Can you think of more?

I was just reading this. I laughed at the ingredient list one after honing in on Gelatin in about 0.3 seconds!

I always open tempeh the same way! I flip it over and cut it into quarters to get it out of the plastic.

Haha! I totally use our old steak knives to open tofu packages!

I actually saw the glycerin before I saw the gelatin (and I know glycerin is often derived from plants, but for me that would be enough to at least question the veganness). But if I saw an ingredient list like that I'd just assume I didn't want to eat it anyway, even if all of the ingredients were vegan.

Yeah I'm really curious too. The comments from vegans on that page are dumb --oh you're not a real vegan if you eat that crepe. Excuse me, I didn't know the definition of vegan had changed from"eats no animal products" to "doesn't consume processed foods." Geesh, way to be killjoys, vegans!

I cut it once through the middle (through plastic and tempeh), then make perpendicular slits in just the package. So I lift out two squares and then can cut it how I want.

I get mad when I buy tofurky tempeh because it messes this up.

I've got one. Not even realizing you've pinned a non vegan recipe because you already worked out your subs in your mind and it reads totally vegan with the vegan brain fog.

7 cancels out 9 for me because that is my Tempeh Opening Device. I slice it down the center of the package, then give it a bit of a squeeze.

I eat tofu less often, but when I do I usually open it with an Earth Balance knife.

Honestly though...I've been vegan for over a decade now and I don't think anybody has ever asked me where I get my protein or what I would do on a desert island. I am starting to feel like I'm missing out on some essential aspect of the vegan experience!

The responses to this thing here vs the responses to this thing on the local vegan faceboak thingie are part of why I ditter about here instead of the other.

I want that version of the crunchwrap so bad, but I kind of don't want to peas off the cashier with that many substitutions.

I clearly haven't cooked with enough tempeh because I have no patented nightmare package technique!

I always forget about the inner wrapper and toss my tofu package opener (true!) in with the dirty dishes too soon. I swear I tried to break though the inner wrapper with a corkscrew once since it was clean and the rest of the tofu package openers were not.

Taco Bell is usually petty cool about multiple substitutions. I always end up having about three things I change on each food.

The desert island one is my favorite. Because it is so true.

Yeah, the cherry pie is new to me. This could be dangerous; good thing my oven doesn't work right now.

Sara Lee cherry pie is also news to me. Must purchase whether I will like it or not.
I do not have a tempeh opening technique.
Now I know that this kitchen gadget I have several of is called a tofu opener. Thanks to CQ, I just realized I have been calling Earth Balance knives by the wrong name!
Dying to know what that scary ingredient list belongs to!

I don't know what the fork a crunch wrap is but I will defend to the death your right to eat one sans animal products.
