Being really tired after work and remembering that tomorrow is the same thing over again- and for an hour longer.

A volunteer project that i work on is having a hard time and essentially folding. I was reminded of why today, when i got yelled at by a crotchety old hippy dude who always causes problems, because i asked him to observe simple, only mildly inconvenient boundaries like everyone else. He then treated me to pontification about how he was making this a living, breathing collective by pushing boundaries and asking for special treatment as an individual. And that i should learn to read people and know that he is trustworthy. No sir, i did not think you seemed trustworthy when you told me to shut up and yelled at me for asking that you wrap up your project.

Work? I hate that I spend my Saturdays standing in a deli. It's nasty and it's hard(ish) work and the customers can be real crappy sometimes. Quitting is a dream.

I still can't talk. I'm really not digging having laryngitis. I can whisper okay if you are with me and near enough, but there is someone I really want to talk to on the phone and texting just isn't cutting it for me right now. I think I'm going to pour myself and scotch and clean my apartment and mope.

Torrential downpour. Awkward hair. Horrible sleep. Today has not been a good day.

Speaking of mice, we have kill traps at work and they break my heart every day. Poor little guys just trying to get warm for the fall/winter.
I do spend an inordinate amount of time cleaning up mice poop, though.

I got a potential job offer. (this is a weird thing to put in this thread) After spending months trying to find my current job, this is so strange and out of the blue and, if it actually gets to the point of interviewing, I have to choose between a great team, good hours, and okay money, and a good team, good hours, and good money. To do, in essence, the same thing I am doing. And I just got hired six months ago at my current job, so there's that, too.

Woke up really stressed out because of a shitty, stressful dream. Can't shake the shitty feeling from it; and texting my crush usually helps me to feel happy if I'm a bit blue, but he never responded to my text today.

The whole day I've felt like a tiny person is inside my nose, tickling it with a feather. It's making me sneeze constantly and have a horrible runny nose. Boo allergies!

That dear friend/coworker I mentioned who just got out of an abusive relationship? She was just involved in a horrific head-on collision today. She is stable, but severely concussed, her mum has a broken neck, and her dad might have internal injuries. LIFE IS NOT FAIR.
Oh and three people are dead. This highway is ridiculous--after the first heavy rain of the season, all the vehicles hydroplane because of poor drainage and oil from the busy summer months. My boyfriend's parents were in a similar accident on the same highway years ago.
I am so sad for my friend and all of the victims.

I am from Juneau which some years has 350 days of precipitation. You know the locals cause they're all the ones in the ugly xtra-tuffs and rain jackets, its the tourists who use umbrellas (which get turned inside out), and those stupid rain poncho things. I love being dry and warm.

Just dropped my husband off to gallivant around in the woods for two months... I'm going to get bored without someone bugging me whenever I'm trying to accomplish something.

I am so sad for my friend and all of the victims. That's terrible. I just moved away from Victoria, and I hated even being a passenger on the Malahat. I hope your friend and her family recover quickly.
