my mother asking me the following: "how sick would I have to be for you to come take care of me? I worry that I would have to be in a coma for you to take care of me, and that you wouldn't even know how."
my whole life I have been the only one managing her, making sure she's okay, dealing with her illness and metal illness and anger and occasional violent outbursts, crippling depression, and insecurities. sometimes I get frozen with anxiety that I can't fix all of her problems and there is no one else who is going to do this so of course I will I just..
oh god that just hurt so much. after everything I've been doing.
I sometimes just want out

hugs, boober. Even though I don't know you, obviously you care so very much and want to do the best you can. So, at the very least, know there are PPK strangers who appreciate you. Not the same...but a hug and cookie nevertheless.

I sometimes just want out Boober, you are allowed to opt out. You are allowed to put your own emotional needs above hers. You do not owe her your mental health. I am so sorry that you are experiencing this. I wish you lots of strength and support and wonder if your school might not provide counseling that could be helpful.

buh, sad face. Skype call from Dad about Grandma's health, and it's all quite grim. hard to know how long she has left, but it's at the point of 'all we can really do is make sure she's comfortable'. it could be days, could be weeks, could be six months.. I'm hoping for the latter, but I'd be surprised if she sees christmas

aw dudes, it's really okay. it's just sad, you know? it's not out of the blue, and she's doing well (considering!).. it's always going to be sad, compounded by being an ocean away. nothing I can do for her though, so I'll just hope for the best as long as possible

Having to call out my cousin on facebook for blatant, dangerous homophobia. It really makes me physically ill that anyone would think that gay equals child molester. And that she is unfortunatly related to me... she puts my family members at risk.

That was me two nights ago. Perhaps minus the nerve pain. My voice has been M.I.A. since yesterday. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth going to internship tomorrow if this persists. I won't be able to teach at all, or much at all. I could sit and watch. Thoughts?

The girl I'm waiting to hear back from logged into OkCupid an hour ago apparently so obviously I am analyzing this to death and have given up on dating forever.

Finding myself to be more and more of a jerk to people. So..my husband nicely told a friend of his I have my own support, and do not want to join their religious based support group. (I am not religious nor a fan of real life support groups) Instead of listening and leaving me alone, for whatever reason she goes and passes my name around to different people. Needless to say I was pissed when I got people bugging me with more trying to get me to join and letting me know they passed around my information. So yea, I kind of snapped on them in hopes they would stop.
(I do not generally hate religious people, or religion..just tired of hearing "Your baby is better off now, she's in Heaven!" "God wanted her back!" when I'm pretty openly an atheist and it's ONLY people from my city that seem to think those are appropriate to say right now. Other religious people say "I'm praying for you" which isn't really bad at all)
TL;DR I snapped pretty bad at some probably inappropriately meaning well people and now feel guilty but too angry to say sorry.

I don't think it's wrong to feel how you do Shanti. I'd be pretty mad if my personal information got shared out amongst strangers against my wishes, even more so if I was grieving.

Oh Shanti, I am so sorry. Don't feel bad for snapping, they should feel bad for deliberately overstepping your boundaries. You get to grieve in any way you need to and fork anyone who tells you that it has to be done their way, especially after you've already said you're not interested. And anyone who trivialized my loss by saying what you mentioned above, would get an earful from me.
Take care of yourself. I hope you find support that works for you. Thinking of you and sending many good thoughts

Shanti, I don't think you should feel guilty at all. Everyone grieves differently, and your way of grieving is perfectly valid. People need to respect that.
