I don't know if you've used either before? Lots of upkeep with the fact they are semi perm but you might be able to find a colour that is quite close to what it is in the picture. Thanks. Are they good at dying over dark hair? Also, who is sugarcookie?

My squeeze paid for a salon visit. I'm going on Monday, I haven't been since I was 12! I'll probably just get a platnium dye job but I guess he paid for a cut n color. He even checked to see if the guy used vegan stuff!!! I'm nervous!

I'll post pics tomorrow. Here it is. I've decided that I like it. Rhizopus Oligosporus wrote: You have to lie to the person cutting your hair if you want to get the length you want. I don't know what it is with those hair cutting people, but if you say "only take off one inch." they will take off two. If you say cut it to just below my shoulders they will cut it to just above. Maybe they don't know that wet hair is longer than dry hair and it will shrink up a bit from where they cut it after it dries, or they all think shorter is always better than longer, or they are just pure evil. But they all always cut it shorter than what I say. So you have to learn to speak their warped language and adjust your request accordingly. The only person who I can trust to actually cut off as much hair as I say is my mom. The kicker is that the last time this guy cut my hair, he left it longer than I wanted. So I exaggerated a mite, and he cut it shorter than I wanted. I suck at this game.

I had to take Toby to see my hair stylist because he has super curly hair and wanted to let it grow out. He found curly hair to be very frustrating. I think he has a handle on it now.
The humidity is giving me crazy ringlets all over. My hair is big, very big.

The inspiration picture is great! I think going from that - but with a thicker fringe and longer layers would look great on you!

I would love some suggestions for making straight shoulder-length hair more interesting. I'm trying to let this crepe grow out, but I'm SO BORED. I posted a really good picture in the user image thread, so I'll post this gross one here just to even things out.

So I sent a picture of my new haircut to my sister (who likes it) who must have shown it to my mom because today on the phone she said she wants to see me in person. She wants to see it 'styled' because the picture looked bad. Uh, that's how it looks. Thanks mom, always classy.

I.DID.IT before (god we both look silly!!): Uploaded with ImageShack.usShockingly bad webcam photo: Uploaded with ImageShack.usI am SO THRILLED. It was awesome to just go in and say "take it all off, do what you see fit." She took off a good 12 or 16 inches of hair. People kept walking by saying "how awesome to see someone cut off all their hair!" (it is not normal here, and she said to me at least three times, "you know, you can't change your mind or cry about it!" i imagine she's seen buyer's regret. and this isn't even really short!!). The back is really short, like boy short, and it feels awesome. The bummer was: I went running, then donated blood, then got the haircut, and I passed out in the stylist's chair (file under: a-don't do that again and b-they will NEVER forget me!). Sprog was with me so I didn't get hauled off to the hospital. The people in the salon were amazing and I think I definitely have found a keeper. I will be making cookies for these ladies and guys this week. And Sprog keeps telling me how amazing my hair looks, which is a pleasant change.

Torque! I love it!
Sra. Nooch, you are way to goddamn pretty. Cut that shiitake out.
I have a haircut scheduled for tomorrow, and I cannot wait. I've been letting my hair to its own devices for too long, so now I have a weird combo of Bieber-hair and a mullet. It's bad. I'm gonna get the back brought WAY up again (I like to cut my hair super, super short--I usually have the problem that the stylist doesn't go short enough because they worry that I'll complain it's too short!) and square off my bangs. I liked how I looked with bangs straight across, as opposed to the angled stuff I've got going on now. Especially since I took out my eyebrow piercing, I don't feel like I'm hiding anything.
